Very Comfortable with Good Food and Great ServicePosted Aug 11, 2013 on Hotels.com
The staff at the Hadrian Hotel were all very professional, pleasant and courteous. Some walkers came soaking wet form a downpour and the staff offered to dry their clothes while they ate, even though they were not overnight guests. Exceptionally good service overall. My twin room (#7) was very clean and comfortable. The WiFi worked perfectly. The decor is a bit tired, but the hotel is well maintained. My only quibble is that it is not quite as convenient to the Hadrian's Wall Path as I had expected (about 20 minutes uphill to the Chollerford Roundabout). That is not the hotel's fault, jusut my own mis-reading of the map.

DisappointedPosted Jun 30, 2012
Quaint and charming - maybe, but needs some urgent attention to a few basics, such as having soap and shampoo and adequate toilet paper New management ?

A reliable place for a stop on Hadrian's Wall!Posted Sep 28, 2011
This was a pleasant surprise, an older quaint style which we love, with amenities that made it delightful. Good food in the pub, comfy bed, good sized room, good price. Loud pipes was the only complaint we could muster.

Kiwi experience.Posted Jun 30, 2011 on Hotels.com
This hotel is in a beautiful location and sited close to ancient historical sites. The building is an attractive country Inn and has all of the charactors one would expect of its vintage. A great position near to a prominant market town. Good service and great food. Highly recommended.

Hadrian Hotel WallPosted Oct 4, 2010 on Hotels.com
We booked a 4 poster and it wasn't. Photo taken, The test date on all the electrical goods showed to be checked again 08/09, photo taken. The room was a good size but cold, no heating had been on prior to our arrival. one of the heaters didn't work and 2 lightbulbs had failed. We arrived tired and hungry and were offerd a table in the bar for Dinner, We later found out there was a seperate dinning room but were told it was only opened when necesary. It was used for breakfast. I asked if there was a wi fi conection and was given a password but after trying to connect was told it only opperated in the main biulding and not in my room. When I pointed out that the bed was not a 4 poster the young man to took us to the room quiped that there were 2 posts. The hotel has the potential to be a first rate place if only the small things could be taken care of. As it was it what I hoped would be a special night to end our holiday was memrable for all the wrong reasons. The only bright spot was one of the young ladies behind the Bar She was bright chearfull and sorted out several porblems for other guests with consumate skill.

Nice and cosyPosted Jan 6, 2010
Stayed here on New Years Eve. It was a very cold snowy night but the hotel was lovely and cosy with blazing log fires. The food was great and very reasonably priced. Our room was clean and comfortable. All the staff were very pleasant and friendly. Will definitely go back.
