As Expected

The Quality Inn in Morganton was typical of the chain. Helpful reception, good size room, fast internet, clean. Downers were difficult to reach electrical outlets and a partially detached iron holder. Good value for the price.

Need to improve breakfast bar

Overall not a bad hotel for the price. Enjoyed the pool and the room was clean but did have a funky smell. It wasn't bad enough to change rooms and after awhile I guess we just got used to it. The biggest complaint was the low quality breakfast bar-the cereal was off-brand obviously but was the worst Cheerios we have ever tasted. The orange juice was watered down so much and no season in sausage gravy. We have stayed in Quality in Hickory and had a more enjoyable breakfast bar.

Old style more like a motel, cheap bedding, needs some updating, noisy. Would not stay there again. Spend an extra 20 to 30 bucks and stay at a Fairfield inn or holiday inn express.

Pros: clean had everything you need. Breakfast was great.
Cons: fix the ice bucket out back downstairs
Location: close to my family
Came back to the room tired after a long day. Took nice shower. Watched some tv. Good nite';s sleep. Had great breakfast. Walked around a little. Sat by the pool. Met some of the staff. Very nice. Had a good stay.

Pros: easy to find comfortable
Cons: have scrambled eggs on breakfast buffet
Location: Beanstalk Zipline!
The room was attractive and neat. Beds were comfortable, although pillows a little softer than my pillows at home. Free wi-fi always a plus Continental breakfast was waffles, pastries, fruit, biscuits & gravy, and instant oatmeal; no eggs or grits right off highway, easy to find

You can tell old motel, smoke smell.

Pros: Size of room, bed comfortable, good shower.
Cons: Tear it down, rebuild non smoking.
Room decent size, reasonably comfortable. Advertised, and marked, non-smoking. The longer I sat in the room, the more I smelled, and my sinuses, reacted to the tobacco smoke that had seeped into the carpets, walls, and etc. of this motel. Obvious this is an old motel , and used to be amoking.

First shower not working, put us behind so we rescheduled dinner time. Then when ready to leave, door would not latch so was late for dinner a second time. When calling front desk no one answered, so after many attempts we went to the front desk to get assistance. Maintenance personnel very polite & worked as quickly as possible.

Pros: The beds and the location
Cons: Upgrade the electrical system-sockets are overloaded. Clean the dust behind the beds and furniture
This location is close to I-40, has comfortable rooms that function. I usually sleep pretty well there and the curtains shield the light out well. My only gripes are the poor outlet layout (sockets are overloaded with extenders) and there is dust behind the bed. Sometimes it smells a little musty but this is a place I can count on for an overnight stay and the price is reasonable. This kind of consistency is what a traveller needs. The restaurant is for lease and it shows. The continental breakfast leaves something to be desired. In all I will stay here again

I stay here every week on business. Concerns about the broken elliptical, dirty ironing board, mold on the ceilings, vehicle exhaust from the truck parked outside coming through the HVAC system have not been addressed and the same problems are there the next time...if I'm given the same room. I tell the front desk and they say they will notify someone. I ask to speak to a manager and am told there is not one there... I'm looking for another place to stay.

Pros: They allow dogs.
Cons: I hate carpet flooring in hotels, disgusting! I went to a Red Roof Inn recently, they had hard wood laminate flooring, all the difference!
