What a difference a year makes...

I stayed here last year and, in short, was very disappointed. The rooms were old, in desperate need of a remodel, the ac blew as much air as an 80 year old asthmatic, etc, etc. Booking this hotel again was an accident. When I pulled up to the hotel, all my memories of this hotel came back quickly and I was preparing for the worst. Before I even checked in, I asked the question if anything had changed and briefly commented on my lack luster experience. To my surprise, I was told that the hotel is currently undergoing a remodel, and that I would be staying in a newly remodeled room. In short, this hotel did a complete 180. The ac blew cold, the carpets and paint were fresh....really everything was new. Ok, it's not the Taj Mahal, however, it's a comfortable place to stay. Hats off to the owners stepping up to the task.

Nice hotel

Pros: Nice, friendly staff. The breakfast buffet was very nice, with lots to choose from. Room was clean and fresh smelling.
Cons: Like another reviewer previously commented flat screen tv's would be nice. There is no elevator on this property, luckily we got a 1st floor room.
Location: We were there to visit emerald mines and do some prospecting. The hotel was close to lots of dining choices as well as just about any shopping.
We liked this hotel. It was close to I-40, our main route for this trip. It is also close to many dining choices, Cracker Barrel, Red Lobster to name a few. The hotel is under renovation but that wasn't an issue with us.

Unexpectedly great!!

Pros: Just everything. The breakfast was wonderful.
Cons: Nothing I can think of.
We expected a good hotel, but this hotel was very, very nice. The staff was friendly and professional. The room was clean, large and very comfortable. The pool had opened and was just sparkling! Our stay was lovely, and if we are ever in the area again we will definitely stay here.

Feel good about this one!

Great service from the front desk on! This is a hotel that's been updated and they did it right. Everything is new and shiney from the halls to the rooms. Room size was large, bed comfotable, linens contemporary and clean. Nice kitchenette area with new cabinets, refrigerator, and microwave. Clean updated bathrooms, too. I will be back in the area on business and won't hesitate to rebook.

Convenient along the way.

This stay was convenient to my destination. It was clean and the new carpet was very nice. The breakfast was very very nice, eggs, sausage ( alittle more than I expected.) I would stay there again.

Nicely Remodeled

We were lucky to be placed in one of the recently remodeled rooms. The room was clean, spacious and updated. The only negative was that it overlooked the pool (which was green), but it isn't pool season so not a big deal. Breakfast was good and had a nice selection. The hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating!

Nothing to complain about, other than the very small bathroom which required closing the door to sit on the John.
