Room was clean overall, but a bit old furniture. Would recommend for single travelers or students.

Good option for the price range.Posted Aug 18, 2014
Pros: Clean, friendly staff, accessible pool, no issues.
Cons: Bigger breakfast area with some more hot options.
Location: Jones Beach, shopping, malls, close enough to plenty of area activities.
I like to see what others write about their experiences with products and services. I guess it's my turn to do the same. That being said, I have no affiliation with any site, hotel or gain anything from my opinions (I wish I did). My stay was good. I was looking for a comfortable place to have my family stay for a couple of days. We didn't plan on doing much more than sleep here and watch some tv. Going online saved us a little - prices should be around $150 a night or less for this place. My review is based on this price range. If I payed a lot more, my review would be worse. The room and bathroom was clean (and cleaned for our second day while we were out - changed the sheets with a different color). We had a fridge and stove top in the room. The fridge worked fine. The stove top looked a little questionable. The beds are very firm. If you like firm beds, this is the place. For me, it was a little too hard. People were friendly. Pool was clean - my kids swam in it with no issues. Continental breakfast was mini muffins, bagels, oatmeal, cereal, coffee and juice. Would've liked to see eggs or a waffle maker. Also, the room for the breakfast is tiny. All in all, if you are looking for a place that is clean with a pool and a little bite before you go running around, this is a good inexpensive option - probably one of the better ones. If you want more, you will have to pay for it.

3 stars due to pricePosted Aug 16, 2014
If we had to pay 30-40 less per night, I would've given 4 stars to each category. Otherwise a good stay.

I WOULD ONLY STAY IF YOUR BY YOUR SELF. A GOOD PLACE JUST TO LAY YOUR HEAD. THE WATER IN THE MORNING WOULD NOT GET HOT ONLY WARM, AND THIS WAS EVERY MORNING FOR 6 DAYS!

$100 a nite. The tiniest room ever and the bed felt like I was sleeping on the box springs

Close to almost everything you need and want.Posted Jun 17, 2014
The carpet was moist and no microwave in the room. It looks more like a motel.

Dated but acceptablePosted Jun 16, 2014
Cons: phased replacement of the furniture.
Location: close to where I needed to be
Room was clean. Beds were clean. Furniture was clean. Bathroom was clean. All contents of the room were tired, but usable.

Nice hotel at a reasonable price close to eventPosted Jun 14, 2014
Pros: The hotel was kept clean.
Cons: The appliances in the room could be updated.
Location: The hotel was centrally located near restaurants and shopping.
My daughter was running her first marathon, and I needed a hotel close to the event at a reasonable price, that was also a nice place to stay and in a good area. Once I arrived at Days Inn Hicksville I was pleased to see that it met all my criteria.

Horrible MotelPosted Jun 3, 2014
Location: Was there for work, didn't see much.
Pulled into the motel to find someone burning an open fire in the parking lot blasting music from his minivan. I'll just leave it at that.
