Nice place Nice price!

Pros: Location...next to Smokey Mountain Center and heart of Franklin.
Cons: Carpeting and chair change in room...overall clean, just needing upgrade.
Location: Smokey Mountain Center entertainment facility (great venue for music/theater). Many restaurants...don't miss Fat Buddies BBQ (best is town!)
While the rooms are a good size and cozy overall, the carpeting could be replaced; however, the manager advised that this will be done during the Winter season. The place greeted us with Cider and Cookies...each morning they provided us with breakfast (perfect coffee!). We will be staying there again!

Comfortable stay in a nicely renovated motel

Posted Nov 5, 2013
Pros: Character of a vintage motel. Affordable. Clean. Quiet. Convenient.
We stayed at the Carolina Motel for a short trip to the mountains. The Carolina Motel is a vintage 'motor hotel' that has been nicely renovated to include modern creature comforts. Our room was clean, nicely furnished and spacious. Will most definitely stay there again.

Pros: Nothing
Cons: The location
Location: I was told we were near a town but we were 3 & 1/2 miles from a town.
On the web site the motel looks pretty and the rooms look large but it was very small, also they don't tell you that this motel is not close to a town, the nearest town was 31/2 miles away. The continental breakfast was a joke so we had to buy breakfast everyday. There was not a coffee maker in the room which is very important to me, I went to the front desk to ask and was told if I wanted coffee I could make it myself as he didn't drink it. We had an emergency and had to leave 2 days early to go to UNC hospital. The owner would not help me with any reimbursement for the 2 days that we couldn't use. I will not use expedia again because this is the second time that I have had a bad experience with the motel that we booked thru expedia. Now lets see if you post this.
