Easy access

Posted Jun 22, 2015
Room had been smoked in. The front desk moved me. I asked about breakfast that was advertised on Expedia but they don't have a breakfast. They offered a voucher for their snack room that only had pop tarts and candy

Great stop on the way home.

Posted Jun 2, 2015
We needed a place to stay on the way home from traveling north. This hotel was surprisingly nice. The room was clean and a nice size. We did not go in the pool, but it looked nice. As others mentioned, there was a little store and a place to borrow small appliances and movies. I was impressed with the free washer and dryer. The lady up front was super friendly. The Ale House in the same parking lot was really tasty.

Nice and clean

The staff was very nice and the hotel very clean. If you are looking to go to Hilton Head Island, the hotel is very far from the beach.

Candlewood Suites Hotel is wonderful

Posted May 22, 2015
Pros: This place had a nice little "store" area for whatever you might have needed or forgotten, and there was free coffee and tea.
Cons: We were completely happy with the hotel, so not much needed improvement. If there was anything that they could have had, it might have been more maps.
Location: As stated above, it is close to 3 major highways, and there is a wonderful restaurant nearby. Also a bank, grocery store and pharmacy.
We had the pleasure of staying at the Candlewood Suites in Okatie/Bluffton, South Carolina. I say pleasure, because it truly was a pleasure. The hotel is centrally located to everything around the Savannah, Georgia to Hilton Head Island, South Carolina area. It is just off 278, which takes you all around the Hilton Head Island area. You are close to 170, which can take you straight over to Savannah, and also close to US 95. So all accesses to local cities and attractions are very easy to get to by car. The hotel itself was clean and well accommodated. Each room is a suite, and that means plenty of room. The Fitness center is nice, with a Universal gym, 2 treadmills, 1 elliptical, and one stationary bike. There is a flat screen TV in the room, and in the same area, there are washers and dryers to do your laundry while working out (Laundry is free, other than the detergent or dryer sheets). There is an outside pool, and business center for your needs. The staff were friendly and helpful with whatever we were curious about. The suite has a full size fridge, 2 burners to cook on, and a full size microwave. There are plates, dishes, pots, pans and silverware, so not worries about eating or cooking. Air conditioning is very useful in the room, with a thermostat on the wall to adjust to your needs. The shower/tub had great pressure, and an adjustable head for massage or straight shower needs...

bed and room

Posted May 8, 2015
Cons: reposition bed in room. cleanliness of room
Location: Great location to Hilton Head
great concept to have a small kitchen.. room was small, not very clean. the queen bed was only accessible on one side, was pushed to close to the wall, only one night table. so if you wanted to get out of bed you had to climb over the end. For a newer hotel it was poorly designed. Overall staff was nice, and for a couple of nights we managed. For long term for more than one person would not recommend

Homeward Bound

Posted Apr 22, 2015 on Hotels
Hotel is convenient to other amenities and attractions near Hilton Head Island. This hotel does not provide any meals as previously expected. A Quality full kitchen is provided to accommodate meal preparations to satisfy most people. Staff is very prompt at correcting issues including check in and repairs. This location is highly recommended. Return is expected

Hilton head

Posted Apr 6, 2015
I have had good experiences until now with Expedia, but unfortunately I will think twice before I pay $185.00 for one night at a room that was listed as a non smoking suite with breakfast. There was no breakfast included, the room stunk like it had been smoked in, there was no way to adjust the temperature and a fan that blew the curtains open, so it was very stuffy, the room wasn't as clean as it should have been there were hairs on the floor in the bathroom...
