Didn't like that the outside entrance to get to the rooms was not locked. When we arrived the heating system was not working and we had to be transferred to another room. Therefore we were moved to another room and he did assist with moving all of our stuff. I would have expected some type of compensationl.

Yes we moved you (literally) right away before you were settled, right next door. Turns out the heater would not come on (on AUTO) because it was 75 degrees out :-) when temp adjusted to 68 on HEAT it working fine!

The motel (not necessarily a hotel) like it's on its last leg. If it was not a chain hotel I'd have more grace. Both key-entry doors on our hallway were broken (on the third floor) so anyone that wanted to could roam the property whether they were a guest or not. There was a dehumidifier in the room that needed emptying by me upon arrival and a couple times a day. This "housekeeping" is part of a reason I myself like to stay at hotels, so I don't have to do housework. The rooms are nice enough, the beds are very soft/clean. The blackout curtains don't fully cover the light from the parking lot at night. The hallways, the ceilings, the exterior are not in their best days. An exit sign was dangling from the ceiling by the door on the hallway. Our time in Hilton Head was lovely, and some of the hotel staff/desk managers were lovely. The housekeepers are obviously really good at their jobs and friendly. One employee at the desk was very irritated with me before I even checked in and scowled at children running through the lobby. The minigolf next-door is well done. I probably wouldn't stay at the hotel again otherwise.

Thank you for your review, sounds like a lot of good for just a 2...:-) I have addressed the dangling Exit sign... kids think it's cool to run and jump up and smack them-- WHY? I don't know, lol. The dehumidifier, as we mentioned to you on the welcome paper- we offer to do for you...but most, since it takes a few seconds, opt to do it themselves. We just repainted and recarpeted your 3rd floor hallway :-) Sorry you didn't like it! The need to be custom made doors are on order! The 1st & 2nd floors are open walk around balconies so as far as security that's a mute point :-)

It was a lot bigger than we expected. We enjoyed our stay. The staff was friendly, the pool was clean, the room was clean and very nice. For it being our first trip to Hilton head it was enjoyable. Would definitely stay again.

So sorry you didn't like ALL THE NEW FURNITURE that Wyndham chose for us. But, all the rooms have new platform beds, new coverlet bedding, new lighting, new headboards and photography artwork above them, new desk, new desk chair, new bathroom LED mirror, new undersink cubbies, new storage bench (in the Double Queen) and new corner chairs.

The property did not match the pictures from the booking. The pictures were enhanced or taken years ago. The bed was very uncomfortable and the room was small and dark. There was a dehumidifier in the room that had to be changed by the guests. The pool was so cloudy and unappealing. Check in was at 4, but we arrived early. They told us the room would be ready at 3:30. When we came back at 3:30, we still had to wait along with several other guests because none of the rooms were ready until after 4.

Thank you for your concerns..The pictures, taken by Wyndham, are exactly what you booked and recent after installing all the new furniture. :-) That very same bed gets compliments on comfort so how people like their bed is subjective. We just follow the brand standard and buy what they require :-) I am very sorry you didn't like yours. Yes, check in is 4pm, sorry you arrived early but this time frame shouldn't be a surprise as it is in your reservation confirmation info as well as being industry standard :-) And again yes, we have dehumidifers in the rooms, and as your welcome packet explained, we will gladly do it for you if you prefer. But most, since it's a relatively easy thing, prefer to do it themselves. Our pool got rave reviews this week/weekend (other than being cold, lol) and I rearrange the pool chairs and take pool noodles out all week and it's looked great. If it was early, early in the morning our pool guy may have just added checmicals ?? But if it was cloudy for you I apologize I am sure it was a temporary thing, as the chemiclas settle in a half hour.

The only problem we had was being charged $30 for an early check in. The check in person was rude to my husband. Otherwise it was ok. We didn’t use the pool, but it needed to be cleaned.

Very sorry, but being charged for a very early check in is industry standard. So much so that some hotels suggest you buy the entire day before if you are arriving in the early morning. It is our policy and we can reserve the right to have such a policy and post the costs accordingly. The guest is always free to purchase the extra time or come back at the actual check in time :-) In this case we were not talking an hour or so, but it was actually before check out time of the previous night's guests. Our pool officially opened the very next day, the day you checked out, On landscaper day, our Pool Co comes after they leave as to not have to vacuum leaves out of the pool twice in one day. Thank you for sharing your experience so it can help educate other guests!

Good location but nice and quiet on hotel grounds. Hotel rooms could use some renovation, dated furniture, bathroom/sink, and carpets. S room was clean but had a very muggy smell. Room also much smaller than pictures make you believe. All rooms doors face outside- motel style. Would stay again.

One of our guests used the restroom right after we checked in. The door lock jammed and was unable to open from the inside or the out. Maintenance was called, and took 10 minutes to arrive despite the emergency. It took almost an hour to get our guest out. Our entire night was ruined. Once resolved the service staff was so unbothered and offered no accommodations or attempts to remedy the solution. The bathroom had open and live wires accessible. Multiple holes in the wall. Visible mold. The bathtub had water and dirt in it. The walls were unclean and had smeared residue on them. As I left, I noticed several bites all over my body, presumably from bed bugs. It was one of our worst stays. I’ve stayed at better cheap motels.

Hello Tayler- As I mentioned when you posted your "sad face" check-in in house comment, to come see me and speak to me. I worked BOTH shifts that next day and you never came down to speak to me, the GM. If you had, you would have realized you were credited back for your first night. I did take you having to move to a new room (when your husband, an adult, locked himself in the bathroom) seriously. We actually had 2 maintenance personnel on this weekend and when the first one was called (it was after hours) and we got the response he was off property... we alerted the back up. So a 10 minute after hours response, I think is reasonable. I do know it took him about 40 minutes trying different things, but since it was an adult we were trying to get it accomplished without damaging the door or room. Trust me, as a mom and grandma, if it had been a child they know to crowbar the door open even if it means damaging it. This hotel has been here since 1989 and that's a first... and we apologize again it happened to you all. So yes, you were compensated for the inconvenience. As for the bites comment we take that seriously and pride ourselves of NOT HAVING that issue here, just to be clear. I also went to your room and saw no "open live wires" etc. Thank you

Thanks for staying with us... I checked your room Miss Dawn and your phone was still on DND from a previous guest who worked nights. A call to the front desk would have remedied that issue :-( As for our elevator, it was just certified and inspected for the season but I will look in to it, so thank you for that feedback- I'm a stairs girl- and leave the elevator for the guests (and to get my exercise, lol) but I will order a service call.

As we also discussed, I am sorry you missed "the fine print" on your 3rd party's website, but it is there... that your card "can be charged ANYTIME after cancelllation period has past. Days inn hilton head is a lot better than most days inn. Smelt good, had a soft towel just for makeup, hair dryer, friendly staff and elevator.

Sorry- that is what happens when the hotel closed from Covid... and the hard water staining is impossible to get off. WE HAVE TRIED everything! I have even myself cleaned toilets in front of guests iand it's looked exactly the same afterwards so they understand it is due to the 6 month closure and hard water staining. We've been trying for years to fix...impossible :-(

Very sorry, but just because you didn't get the answer you wanted, doesn't mean the staff is rude :-) Trying to check in at 11:10am (check out time) when your arrival is 4pm (but remember you were let in at 2:30 an hour and half early) and also asking for a 1st floor Double Queen when the hotel isn't built that way (they are all on the 3rd floor). You were also refunded for 2 nights of your 3 night (non refundable) stay after you were already in the room for 4 hours...And again sorry you didn't like your NEWLY REMODELED room (the 1st time the room was open this year, as a matter of fact). Have a nice day! :-)

Here for 2 days... I put you on the 1st floor as requested in a newly remodeled room- Not a peep out of you for 2 days? Can't help if we don't know what could possibly be the problem in one of our most favorite and popular rooms that everyone else LOVES :-) Even use this room as a "can we see the room" show room :-) Weird. Without coming to the front desk and voicing any concerns??? This room was cleaned the next day after this guest as room showed signs of being occupied. Bed tussled, wet towels on floor and shower used, etc. Confused the hotel with the one you did stay at? Thank you!

The manager Stephanie was very professional and answered all our questions. She was very knowledgeable about the area, which helped us immensely. The room was very clean , bathroom a bit tired but very clean. Excellent value for the Hilton Head area.

Staying 3 nights but don’t know if I can make it. Paid for so can’t lose my money. We work hard to make a living and hardly ever get to take a vacation and then come here and be so disappointed. For this to be a hotel in a beautiful place and the name Wyndham attached to it I must say it is horrible. Sleeping on bed is about like sleeping on floor. Dead bugs and flies on window seal. In bathroom no where to put anything. No shelves and the wire rack that is in there is about to fall off wall. Rust running down inside door. Don’t know if it’s from water leaks or what. TV service stinks. May as not have any. The pictures on their web page is not what you find when you get there. The lobby looks like something from the movie Deliverance. I would never stay here again and I would never ever recommend this place to anyone to stay at while in Hilton Head. I’m sorry but this is the most run down place I’ve ever stayed at. Wyndham should be ashamed of themselves for letting this place look like this. Locks and doors on inside look like they’ve never been cleaned and you’re scared to sleep because the screws that hold the extra latch on is pulling out of wall. There’s more I could say but I guess this is enough

#1 I checked you in, Suzanne the GM. Remember, I went myself to checked your room since you were an hour earlier than check in time. I did turn on your TV to check it as we always do...fyi we have New Spectrum Cable 221 channels! :-) 6 Guides listed on the info packet I gave you. If you need help navigating let me know :-)You are in a ADA room, which remember I noted to you at check in and you said you were aware... that is why YOUR BED is lower to the ground. And yes along those same lines, there is no under the sink in your bathroom to put anything because again it is an ADA room and the bathroom is for someone in a wheelchair.The only thing I will agree with you on- is the back of the door- we just lubricated a lot of the doors and the oil stained them. And yes, we plan to paint them this off season. Moving forward since you are here for 2 more days...I will have maintenance check your safety latch as people do abuse those propping their doors open. Any other concerns- it would be nice to get an opportunity to help you rather than read about it here...

Our room was in a very poor condition and badly needed refurbishing. The bathroom equally poor. It was the strangest thing to have put used towels in a plastic bag outside our room. Then we were told we wouldn’t get clean towels if we failed to do this. A stay not to be repeated.
