“nice winter family getaway”

Excellent Disney service and activities for the kids. We are non-members but there were plenty of activities that were free for us also. The location is connected to scenic bike trails that connect to their nice beach house. My only gripe was that they should have free wi-fi.

“Nice resort, activities”

We stayed for a few days...we had a baby with us. There were pack n plays in each room, the rooms were clean, staff was friendly.

“Disney out did themselves again!”

Disney quality! We loved our stay. Everyone was really nice from check in to the bike rentals. Beautiful grounds, with beautiful big live oak trees every where with Spanish Moss on them. We stayed in a 2 bedroom suit ( even though I paid for a studio). It was wonderful. The master had a jetted tube and access to the balcony looking over the marsh. We had a great view of the playground and where they show the Disney movies at night. And was very close to pool with the slide. Also the beach house was fun with the pool and some other games. Very impressed and will be back very soon.

What a great place for a family to stay. The rooms are decorated fantastically. Have already highly recommended to several friends.

“Great resort”

This is a great property with very nice rooms and a beautiful location. From the marsh to the marina, everything is picturesque. The property is well maintained and the private beach is very nice. There are plenty of activities for the kids and the cast members all take good care of the guests.

“Great vacation”

We just got back from Disney's Hilton Head Resort and we loved it! We are a large family (5 children), so the 2 bedroom villa, which sleeps 8, was perfect for us. We were very impressed. The location is quiet, yet adventure is close by. The week we went in mid-May was perfect. Since we went in the off-season, the pool and the beach were not crowded at all and we could relax. The resort staff offers a variety of activities each day, some for free, others for a small fee. The villa was huge, housekeeping brought fresh towels every day, and having a kitchen and washer and dryer in the villa was very convenient and cost-effective. We enjoyed the free music at the marina, too. We'd love to go back.

“FANTASTIC”

Love, love, love. Disney was just the best. MY family, including an active 11 year-old went in September right after Labor Day. It was warm but not too warm and not crowded at all, but there were some kids there with families. The room was wonderful. We got a 2BR which was great. The pools were super-clean and well guarded. Activities were great, esp. the campfire and fish shirt making. Kitchen is very adequate. Take food for breakfast and lunch and then go out to dinner and enjoy Hilton Head. There is a small snack area on the grounds but not much to brag about. Also, visit the Salty Dog Cafe on Hilton Head. So much fun. Super for kids. Adults, if you go alone, go in the off-season when it will not be chaoitic and frenzied with kids. Rent some bikes if you plan to be there for a while. Off-season rates are very reasonable.

“Hilton Head's Best-Kept Secret”

We would recommend this hotel to ANYBODY. We rented a 2 bedroom villa and the view of the estuary was super; we saw dolphins from our room! The resort is located behind Shelter Cover Harbour. It is very private and secluded, and is not advertised openly like the other resorts, which is why Disney refers to it as a "best-kept secret". It was beautiful to walk along the Harbour and visit the shops and restaurants; everything on the island was kept in pristine condition, from the landscaping to the sidewalks. We went in Feb. and it was as if we were the only ones there. The weather resembled NY's spring (75-degree, sunny day followed by a 55-degree day with some showers) and is considered to be their "winter" season. However, we would return during that time because most days we were the only ones out and about! You can rent fishing equipment (which we did) and fish off Disney's pier, and you can rent bikes; we rented bikes and rode them to Disney's Beach House (1.3 mi. away), which was great. Room service came everyday, giving us toiletries and laundry soap. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and had new appliances... they even provided Tupperware! The beds were comfy, and there was a TV in each bedroom as well as in the living room with a DVD player; the bathrooms were spacious and modern. From the decor to the friendly service, you couldn't ask for a nicer, more beautiful place to stay--we said many times that the Disney resort was the nicest one on the island.

“Disney's Secret Jewel!”

Class A, Disney Magic all the way! Extremely clean villas! Great Staff! We will be back! This is the first time that we visited the Resort - it was in the off season - cant wait to be back during the summer months! Even though we were there in the off season - still treated royally! Got to swim in the nice heated pool! The villas are top notch! It was so sad to leave!! We stay at The Contemporary Resort at Disney World and love the Disney Resort experience - so awesome to have a Disney Resort closer to home!!

“Disney magic!”

We had a great time! The resort was spacious and great for our family. The beach and beach house pool made it worth every penny. We have found a new family destination! The porch was perfect, the hammocks were fun, the pool and slide fabulous. The Disney staff was great and at the beach we built a sand dolphin. Thanks for the memories Disney. We will be back. We arrived before check in and were able to go to the beach house as soon as we arrived. Our key cards worked at the beach house until 5 PM on the day of check-out which extended our stay. The carts to bring items from the car to rooms were perfect for sleepy children at the end of a long day at the beach. Our third floor two bedroom unit overlooking the marsh gave us a different perspective of the island and served as a great teaching point for our kids as they learned about the tides of the ocean. This place is definitely made for kids and families,but everyone can have a good vacation.
