“Front desk clerk is very kind.”

Front desk clerk is very kind. We are foreigner, so he spoke very clearly at the telephone call from me one hour before arrival, he prepared and allowed our very early check-in with no-charge. Especially guest should ask him restaurants. Good restaurants are in Hilton head island. We enjoyed 3 days stay on thanksgiving week and all 6 people are happy.

“Not your best Hampton Inn......”

Not your typical Hampton Inn as far as overall quality. Rather old building in need of updating. Pool area was just ok....nothing special. Shower head in room was broken....asked for repair....never happened. Breakfast was nice, everything was fresh. We did leave something behind in the room and for a charge and a couple of phone calls later.....it was sent to our home. Close to the airport, noise was not a problem. Not close to the beach.....too far to walk. An ok place to stay, rates were reasonable, but not in great shape like the typical Hampton Inns we have stayed in the past.

“Hilton Head Labor Day Weekend Stay”

Overall we enjoyed the hotel and hotel room. It was quiet and relaxing. There was some trash left behind by previous guests, but other than that the room was clean and they supplied us with fresh sheets and towels as needed.

“Pleasantly surprised”

So it's not a 5 star resort, but it was certainly a pleasant stay. It was inexpensive, the room was clean, the bed was extremely comfortable. It was a 5 minute walk to a a shopping plaza with a grocery store and a couple good restaurants. It was 1.5 miles from the beach. Overall, a great place to stay.

“Summer Vacation”

Very convenient for getting around. We brought our bikes and were able to lock them at the bike rack in front. Were close enough to bike to the beach while staying on bike paths. Very satisfying breakfast, ice water provided throughout the day, and cookies in the evening.

Public beaches are easy to get to with parking, bike racks, and restrooms available. There is a charge for parking. Lots of parks and green space for biking and other sports.

“Nice place”

Nice and clean hotel. Friendly staff. Great location for family stay. Family rooms have master bed in the living room instead of bedroom (funny arrangement). Free internet. Good breakfast.

“Three nights was not enough in Hilton Head!”

The Hampton Inn was very attractive, clean, comfortable and quiet. The bed was very cozy. Everything seemed new or newly decorated. The breakfast buffet was the best with hot selections each day. The pool area was very nice. The location of the Hampton was at one end of the island and the activities we enjoyed were at the other end. However, the price and everything else was very good.

Area recommendations

Be sure to go to the Sea Pines area which includes Harbour Town. You can visit the iconic light house, browse cute shops, oogle gorgeous boats, enjoy the shady breeze in a comfortable rocking chair, listen to live music, and eat harbourside! If you are a golfer you'll enjoy the renown Harbor Town Golf Links. Families with kids would enjoy the Coligny Plaza area. It seemed like a fun, but busy area of shops and restaurants with live music near the beach.

Dining

The Black Marlin Bayside Grill was delicious and a really interesting place for indoor or outdoor family friendly fine dining.

“Excellent value for the money”

The only complaint that I have is that the room did not have a flat screen TV. The kitchen area was somewhat small for breakfast. However all in all .... this was an excellent hotel for the money

“Great night's sleep at a value price”

Great beds! Comfortable and plush for a great nights sleep. Breakfast was complimentary and exceeded our expectations. Hot foods, pastries, fresh fruit, cereal were all well prepared. Room was nicely decorated and appeared to be recently renovated although hallway carpeting was a little dated. Overall, for the money, it would be hard to beat on HHI if you don't need beach access. Of special note, my wife left two dresses hanging in the closet when we checked out and 3 days later when we called the hotel, they were holding them for us. Usually when anything is left in a hotel room, it is gone forever. So, special thanks to Hampton Inn for that courtesy.
