Hotel on beach

I booked hotel through expedia and the hotel made an error, but made up for it and honored deal advertised on website. All hotel staff were very friendly. Hotel is right on beach and it is worth it to pay for ocean front room at least 5th floor or up. The one big complaint is that shower was terrible- it trickled out and fluctuated between hot and cold, no matter what time of day. If you want to explore island, best to rent a car as attractions and restaurants and shopping are not within walking distance. The hotel has bikes to rent which helped. Also, it did get loud at night with entertainment, but they stopped at 10pm. Hotel room was clean but stains on carpet and moldy smell indicated renovations are needed. Overall good experience but quite honestly could probably get abt same amenities at lesser priced hotel.

Exceptional location

Pros: View was great, staff very friendly and helpful.
Location: We had dinner at The Crazy Crab - fun restaurant. A visit to Savannah or Beaufort is definitely worth it.
The Marriott is a superb hotel on Hilton Head Island. Staff were very helpful in recommending things to do. View was great from my room, overlooking the pool and beach. My parents and I had a great evening in the bar - very friendly staff here, too.

The hotel staff could have been a lot nicer. The front desk and pool bar area employees were not very friendly.

Location: beach location was great. You need a car to get to shopping areas and restaurants. Close to bike rental facility. Great bike ride along the beach
Room was a good size. Cleanliness lacking. Dried food on the floor when we checked in. Room service not provided until 5:45 pm on the first full day of our stay - after calling housekeeping several times. a rusted mini-frame holder provided on the bathroom vanity, not sure what is was supposed to be used for, but it was unsightly. Enjoyed the location. view of the ocean/pool was great. Breakfast buffet was adequate and convenient. Omelette chefs were good, wait staff was good.

Beautiful place to stay

My family and I loved our one night stay at this resort. We only wish we could have stayed longer. The staff were all friendly and helpful. The amenities are great. The hotel was clean and comfortable. We will definitely come back!

Not the best

Pros: It was right on the beach.
Cons: Let customers know that what they confirmed is not available.
I had confirmed a room with a king size bed, and what I received when I arrived was a handicapped style room with two double beds. In this room there was not place to even unpack a suit case. When I requested another room that the front desk told me that the confirmation was only a request, and it was not possible to switch rooms at the Expedia rate. Not what I had in mind. The tv didn't get many of the channels listed, the carpet might have been vacuumed but the missed the same trash all three days. They door did not automatically close and lock, and the internet was very iffy despite the additional charge. For a resort they sure missed the mark with me.

Marriott ocean front resort @ Hilton Head Island

I stayed one night having booked via Expedia. I was provided with a huge room with the most comfortable king bed I've ever had in a hotel. Every aspect of service, from checking through dining room through check out was exceptional, and the staff was welcoming and professional.
