Hilton Head Red Roof INN

Posted Jan 23, 2015
Pros: Location.
Cons: Everything
Location: The location met my business needs.
Room did not have ice bucket or glasses. No Ironing board or iron. Floors sticky. Vent fan noisy. In all my years of traveling this is probably the worst I have stayed at.

Exceeded Expectations

Posted Jan 3, 2015
Pros: Excellent location. Proximity to everything. Adjacent to [walking, running, biking trails]. Bring a bike, park the car and forget it.
Cons: Hilton Head Island does not use a lot of street lighting. No light pollution. So you need to bring lighting for walking and biking in the evening.
Location: Everything you need is nearby
This is my first experience with a corporate owned Red Roof Inn. After my two night stay ... I wish I had more time to stay. I will definitely return to this Hilton Head Island, SC location.

with pet

Pros: Very pet friendly and confortable
Location: This was halfway around the 278 loop on the island and thus very easy to get to. Major stores and restaurants were within an easy drive.
The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and the grounds were well kept. It was very quiet and even the guests were friendly. The price was very good and great for what the room we had.

Paper thin walls, no quite houra enforced

Posted Nov 30, 2014
We had a horrible stay at this Red Roof Inn on Thanksigiving weekend. The people staying in the room next to us had their tv very loud from 8:30 PM to past midnight. At 11 PM I spoke to management about enforcing quiet hours and they said, "we'll call them." I was able to fall asleep with the noise, only to be woken up at 11:45 PM to the sound of Jim Carrey's voice during the restaurant dream date scene from Dumb & Dumber. Yes, the TV was loud enough that I recogized not only what movie was playing next door, but also what scene it was. After multiple conversations with management we got our room switched, and I had to wake my 2 year old son at 12:30 AM to switch rooms. I can't believe more wasn't done to enforce quiet hours by management. I will never stay in another Red Roof Inn anywhere

We are very sorry that your stay was not up to your standards. We did speak with the guests and even checked the room for noise and the TV level was normal. But I can understand that you were trying to sleep and it bothered you to hear the TV We do hope you will give another try if you are on Hilton Head again. Chris Anselmo GM

Renovated hotel

Posted Nov 16, 2014
This is an older hotel, so I was pleased to find it was renovated and very nice looking inside. There was no hair dryer in the room, but they do have them at the front desk. The room was comfortable, but the pillows were too hard for me, so bring your own if you like soft pillows. It was off season, so the price was pretty low. I stayed three nights there and was overall happy with my experience.

Location, fine, hotel appearance, poor

Posted Nov 11, 2014
Pros: Price and location.
Cons: It needs a total renovation. Smallest bathroom I have ever been in. Breakfast is free, what breakfast??? Coffee.
Location: Fairly close to Sea Pines and restaurants. You just want to sleep at this hotel and that is it.
The hotel is in a decent location, not far from anything, but on a 12 X 4 island, everything is close. The hotel is old and I would never take a "Family" there.

Listen the rate for the place was good. It was clean and comfortable, and have restaurants right next to the place.
