Location: Shipyard is close to several wonderful restaurants and we rode bikes to a fun shopping area called Coligny. Also, very close to the beach.
We had a wonderful time at Shipyard in Hilton Head, SC. It is so peaceful and beautiful. We had a small maintenance problem when we checked in but the staff responded immediately. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful. We would love to return next year!

Very nice condos in Hilton Head!

Posted Mar 3, 2015
Pros: Spacious, pretty grounds, quiet during February.
Cons: nothing!
Location: Beach, tennis, golf. Restaurants. Shopping. Outlet mall 10 minutes away. Mini-golf for the kids. And Downtown Savannah 45 minutes away. Art Museum.
We stayed for nights in February 2015. It was a cold week in South Carolina so we didn't get to use the pool which was right across from our unit. There was also an indoor pool at the concierge office but we never made it to that. But we did walk to the beach through the golf course greens, which was about a 20 minute walk. They also provided free bicycles but we decided it was too cold to ride ( probably 10 minute ride to beach). The condos were spacious and clean and quiet. Our deck opened onto the golf course. There were beautiful trees everywhere with the spanish moss hanging down. The beds were perfect- two bedrooms, each had a king size bed that was so very comfortable. It was exactly what I needed (we were coming from 4 nts in another townhouse near Charleston with uncomfortable beds.) The kitchen was great and the bathrooms were huge. Simple furnishings, but had everything we needed. It took a little getting used to finding the condo down these windy roads in the shipyard development which was very big. The supermarket was a short drive and there was a Panera Bread cafe and Starbucks too. There is a toll bridge going into and out of Hilton Head, $1.25 each time. Which seemed to be kind of annoying by the 3rd day. We also went into Savannah which was about 45 minutes, maybe a little more to the airport. We had a very nice stay at the Shipyard Condos. I would actually choose to visit Charleston again over HIlton Head though if I were to be in South Carolina again.

Not good at all!

Posted Jan 8, 2015
We were in Egret point of Shipyard. Workers were working on my roof, construction noise was around us from 7am- 5pm everyday! Also, we were promised "double beds in guest room, and close to tennis courts" at booking time, but none of these were true when we got there! The sales manager was rude when we called for complain. What a terrible place!

Great Labor Day Weekend stay

Posted Oct 15, 2014 on Hotels.com
Our Sept 2014 stay was wonderful and I would definitely do it again. We were at the "Cottages" aea in a 2 bdrm town home, so you had to be able to go up and down stairs. It was very quiet, with a nice kitchen and living room area. A satellite pool was around the corner. We brought our own bikes as Hilton Head has miles of bike paths and we used them to get to the beach. But they also have plenty of bike rental places close by. The beach area had ample parking, but was about a mile away..so didn't walk to it. They have a health club and small number of beach lockers to store beach items on first come basis. Loved our stay. We have stayed in many places on Hilton Head and this area compares to Palmetto Dunes and other seaside golfing communities. Would definitely stay their again.

No water view.

Posted Oct 13, 2014 on Hotels.com
When we booked our room, it said there was water view. This was not true. Felt like we were in the woods. The resort was nice, older, but secluded. Would have been nice to see the water. Had to drive to the beach.

shipyard hard to beat

Posted Sep 6, 2014
Pros: In shipyard and price for the room
Cons: getting dated and maybe a flat screen tv in the bedroom
Location: Shipyard location is great and close to everything you may want
The condo was 3 bed 3 bath ,as far as you could get from the beach and still be in shipyard however a nice 10 min bike ride under the shade. Two pools close by. Cant beat the price.
