The Westin Hilton Head Island Resort & Spa

Have been to this hotel several times and just went back after the renovations. Was blown away by the job well done!

Nice hotel I would stay there again in a good location. 2 items needing attention. 1) Cell phone signal truly hit or miss especially iphones. We could not get cell phone service with our iphones until we drove inland. 2) TV signal reception. 42" flat screen TV and you don't have a decent picture. We mentioned this to staff thinking we had an isolated problem and they looked me straight in the eye and said with all the trees on the island they don't get a good cell phone or TV signal. Cell phone signal could be a deal breaker for someone needing this service but we were on vacation so it wasn't a big issue for us.

Had a great time. Our only complaint was not getting in to our room sooner. There where several weddings that weekened and it was very crowded. May go back on a Sunday or Monday on our next visit.

The staff were all very friendly and courteous. The hotel is newly renovated and beautiful. We were able to check in early, the front desk was very accomodating.

The hotel was under construction. Lobby was in the Hall. It was a construction site all over the hotel Store and Spa was still being renovated. Expensive drinks, and food pool side. Walking over contractors all weekend and noisy. Disappointing stay. May be nice once they finish the renovations that we were not aware of when booking. Twenty dollar hotel service charge per day on top.

My trip was fantastic except all of the renovation and construction that was taking place. But I just know when I decide to come back the hotel will be perfection.

I give such high marks because of the high quality of customer service I received. As I was about to check in the lady at the front desk said the hotel was full so they were going to offer me a 2 bedroom villa w/kitchenette, slightly off sight from the hotel. No extra charge. She then left, returned and said 2 rooms had just opened, 1 was an ocean view room, she told me I could still take the villa or the ocean view room, again at no extra charge. I took the ocean view room which turned out to have been recently renovated. This has to be the best deal I have ever lucked into, the view from the balcony was very nice and the staff was so gracious throughout my say I can't say enough.

Off season renovations. Nice otherwise. Slow room service.

Beautiful hotel, but Expedia and Westin both neglected to mention it was undergoing extensive renovations. Only half the hotel was available, including only 2 of 4 restaurants. The hot-tub and and pools were inaccessible due to the construction, and getting to the beach was running a gauntlet around construction barriers. Even the landscaping is being redone, so you feel like you're in a construction zone. The worst part was the heavy equipment running outside our room at 9:00 AM. Not a relaxing stay

Hotel was going through renovations, but our room had already been renovated. We only heard the noise of the construction when we were outside and it was minimum. Everything was absolutely wonderful.
