Very impressedPosted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel by far exceeded our expectations. Very short walk from the Hiroshima station and to all street cars and buses and a short walk from the Mazda Zoom Zoom stadium where we enjoyed a baseball game on a hot August night. The staff was extremely helpful. Wifi included. Room was very spacious and clean. We will certainly stay here again if we are ever in Hiroshima again.

Loved it!Posted Aug 10, 2013 on Hotels.com
We really loved staying at this hotel and would highly recommend it to any traveler in Hiroshima. The location was perfect ... a few minutes from the train station, and easy walking to the major places of interest, such as the Shukeisen Gardens, the Hiroshima Castle, the Peace Park and the A-Bomb Dome. The food was excellent, the room comfortable and clean, and the staff spoke good enough English. A true pleasure to be here.

Convenient & comfortablePosted Apr 30, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, easy arrival, comfortable beds
Location: Exit train station, turn right, cross the street & look up. Perfect! Kid-friendly eats back at the station.
Our experience could not have been better! Hotel New Hiroden is right around the corner from the Hiroshima station -- less than 3 blocks of walking including getting out of the station itself. We arrived on an early train & requested to keep our bags at the desk since we had sightseeing to do, but our room was ready & they let us just check in! We had heard that Japanese hotel rooms can be a bit like closets in size, but each of our beds were larger than a twin, which was refreshing since we'd asked for 3 beds to accommodate 2 adults & 2 children. (Apparently a child under 5 is assumed to be co-sleeping with an adult, but we just had the kids share the pull out chair-and-a-half.) There wasn't a great deal of walking around the room space, but plenty of storage for luggage, a desk, and an amazing bathtub/shower. We only stayed one night to see the Peace Park and Miyajima, but would have been perfectly happy here for multiple nights. The location makes it easy to get to Miyajima via the train station, and the bus/trolley stop just in front of the station has one line that will take you to the Peace Park for 150yen per person. Can't beat it! Not too many local restaurants nearby, but at this point in our trip, the kids were ready for something more recognizable anyway. We ate at the Udon Shop for dinner & the French Bakery for breakfast, all conveniently located back at the train station.

Small but convenientPosted Apr 12, 2013 on Hotels.com
Although very small rooms for three, the hotel had the bonus of being almost adjacent to Hiroshima station.

I rated the hotel a 3 because even though it was literally across the train station, you still had to walk up stairs and with all our luggage, it was not fun at all.

Hotel was very close to the train station and was well maintained. Hotel staff was very helpful in getting me information regarding trains and buses to the various locations I wanted to visit and check in-check out was a breeze. Highly recommend.

Very comfortable and convenientPosted Feb 8, 2013 on Hotels.com
The room and hotel were very clean and comfortable. Room was not large but a descent size with all we needed. Bathroom was smaller than we are used to at home but still had everything we needed including a bidet. Close to everything including the train and bus stations, easy walk to the nearby sights. Very clean and high quality service by all the staff. Overall and awesome experience in Hiroshima.
Very convenient and cheapPosted Jan 2, 2013 on Hotels.com
Very good value for money! Less than a 5 min. walk from the main station, but close to the railway tracks, so a bit noisy at the time. Room and bathroom very clean and comfortable. Avoid 6th and 10th floor in the summer because of the noise from ice machines. Staff understands basic English. Breakfast should be cheaper.
