"Charleston classic"
The mills house hotel in Charleston is a classic. It was originally called the Charleston hotel and then the Mills House after its architect. The location is unrivaled. It is an easy walk to shopping and restaurants but also very close to South of Broad residential areas. The recent update by Wyndham makes it a solid choice for a higher end hotel. The staff was warm and pleasant some capable. The restaurant is adequate.

"Great location - great price"
This hotel was perfect for us - close to the downtown historic district and museums and great restaurants with a very reasonable price compared to other hotels in the area. We parked the car (free parking) and walked everywhere. I would recommend stopping at the visitor center to get the schedule for the free shuttle trolley to save yourself some walking.
