Cons: Coffee available all day - there is no coffee maker in the room, (but coffee was available in the reception area during the morning only)
Historic hotel in heart of Charleston has maintained character and charm. Rooms are comfortable, and common areas in keeping with the historic layout of the hotel with peaceful courtyards where breakfast / managers wine in the evening may be enjoyed.

Bathroom wasn't cleaned 2 times. Beds were very hard. Not the new comfort matresses of most upscale places charging this price. Quaint and a wonderful location. Beautiful rooms.

Pros: The ambience
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Location was perfect. Was able to walk to restaurants and attractions. I would recommend the hotel because of the location and the character.
I enjoyed the hotel character and ambience for the time period represented. I felt like I was living in the era. The location was perfect. So close to great food and sights and shopping. Perfect place to stay.

Historic B&B in the Center of Charleston

Posted Oct 23, 2014
King's Courtyard Inn is a nice historic B&B in the center of the historic district of Charleston. It is within easy walking distance of all the major attraction in that area. We enjoyed the intimate atmosphere and the complementary breakfast. The atmosphere of the hotel fit the location.

Very disappointed!!!

Posted Oct 6, 2014 on Hotels.com
I found a used Kleenex between the sheet and blanket. VERY GROSS!! Breakfast needs more choices, pancakes, bacon, ham, grits, variety of eggs. Very disappointing for a bed and breakfast. Hampton Inn has a significantly better experience ie: clean room, much much better breakfast for a significantly lower price. Also, a lot of repair noise just outside our room.

The hotel is in a perfect location, close to everything. It was very relaxing, as if being a hotel with a wonderful breakfast, happy hour and even a friendly staff to pet our dog!

Excellent location well priced for Charleston

Cons: Tea / coffee making facilities in room .
This hotel is situated well for the French quarter and historic old town and is right in the heart of things on King Street. It is quiet and staff are courteous and helpful rather than warm. like most of the Inns it has a welcome complimentary wine and cheese hour . It is clean and the room although basic was very comfortable. Beds are firm.
