Pros: The complimentary lemonade was a nice touch as was the wine and cheese right before dinner.
Cons: The light in the room was a little dim for reading and it seemed like there was an excess of decorative pillows on the bed. We ended up throwing them
This was a lovely old hotel with lots of history and interesting old furnishings. The parking was easy and inexpensive and the location was excellent—close to the river and within easy walking distance of many of the squares.

Pros: Great staff Hospitality Location Decor Pet friendly
Location: Close to many great restaurants and shops. The river is a very short walk away River boat tours AND trolley tours are close by
We were excited to find a historic hotel that would allow us to have our four-legged side kick. The hotel staff were super friendly and went above and beyond to accommodate us when we decided to stay an extra few days even though they were nearly booked solid. The hotel is in a really great location near the river and is within easy walking distance to several great restaurants and shops. The restaurant inside the hotel provides a nice continental breakfast for guests and is also open for regular business at lunch and dinner. Other hotel treats include a wine and cheese social every evening, free 24 hour coffee in the lobby and free lemonade during the day. The rooms are done up lovely. If you need two queen beds with first floor convenience, you will love room 104. We would highly recommend this hotel and hope you love it as much as we have. We will be staying here again.

Pros: The atmosphere of the old building was fun. The in-house restaurant was pleasant and the food was good. Breakfast bar used real dishes.
Cons: Parking is very limited although accommodations are in place to help with offsite parking.
Location: River Street is full of fun shops and restaurants. Many of the squares were in walking distance.
A lot of old Savannah is walkable from East Bay Inn. there is an enjoyable restaurant at the Inn and we were glad to have it on the chilly first night in town. Staff was friendly.

Nice Hotel in Historic Savannah

Posted Mar 7, 2015
Pros: The aesthetics and staff were great and so were the amenities. The staff was so friendly and helped in any way possible. We could walk everywhere.
Cons: Room cleanliness and firmer mattresses
Location: Within walking distance of all the historic places, restaurants, shops and the river
We had a wonderful stay at the East Bay Inn which was within walking distance of the river and the historic district. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. The breakfast was good and the wine and snacks in the evening was a nice touch. The room was lovely, but could have been a bit cleaner. The mattress was a little too soft and the air conditioner blew over the beds. It was hard to adjust it to the right comfort level for us. However We would stay there again because of the staff and the amenities.

Exceptionally comfortable and charming.

This was everything I dreamed of in a Historical Savannah hotel. The building has loads of historical touches, but the mattress and bathroom were perfectly modern and the room was beautifully furnished. The front desk clerk and bellman were eager to help me get in, and also answered questions about the building and the town. We walked easily to sites as well as dinner, after parking right outside the front door. We will be back several times I am sure.

Everything We Hoped for and More!

Pros: The staff, the location, the history and its beauty.
Location: Best location to do anything on the riverfront. We walked to breakfast on east Bay twice at . Had after dinner drinks down the street at Churchill's
When planning our trip we wanted something old and historical but with modern amenities. East Bay Inn was absolutely beautiful. The high ceilings were incredible and the brick in the walls gave you the feeling of being back in history. We did not suffer any of the disadvantages of being in a 1800's building though. The room was warm, the weather cold, and it had a hairdryer and all the conveniences we needed. We loved its location across the street from the river yet had no problem walking the entire city from that location. The staff was so great. Jennifer and Sheila made impossible reservations for us on Valentines Day at a very great restaurant. Melvin the Bellman couldn't have been nicer. Great stay and would stay again.

Wonderful Inn

The East Bay Inn was a delight! Our room was decorated so beautifully with very high ceilings. The wine and cheese hour was relaxing and generous. The staff was very accommodating. We ate dinner one evening at the onsite restaurant, Skyler's which was also very nice. I am also pretty certain that we experienced a few pranks by the in-house ghost, Charlie!
