The hotel staff woke us up with a phone call early in the morning with maintenance people waiting outside the room to service the currently working wifi. Terribly rude and unnecessary.

The location is very convenience. It is right at the Ben Thanh Market and ten minutes walk to Saigon Centre where all the shops and restaurants are. 13 minutes walk to Nguyen Hue Street or to the ferry terminal where you can take the ferry to Vung Tau city.

I booked two nights and only slept their one night. My original room had a WiFi issue so they offered to switch my room. Overall dated and old facility. The staff was nice though. I would not stay here again because of the state ans condition of the room.

Really friendly staff and a great location. Room was clean, the bed comfortable and the shower warm (which we found a rarity in Vietnam) only problem we had was the toilet was blocked

hotel staff was very friendly and English was very good , great location for 1st time visitors to Ho Chi Minh, we were able to walk to most attractions ... there was a little street nice at night but to be expected for the busy night activities happening close by ...

The room was nice - clean and comfortable. Buffet breakfast was poor in choice. My stay was ruin due to noisy guests on my floor. Very loud music till 7 am. I have asked staff to intervene at 23.30. They were very reluctant to do so. I had to ask twice. Their intervention didn’t help so the guest continued with their party throut the night. I don’t recommend. Very noisy area next to the market.

Old world charm
A tiny little hotel over 10 floors; 3 rooms per floor. Front rooms are bigger; middle are cubicles and rear rooms are quieter. I booked the rear facing rooms but was denied at check in initially as staff said it was overbooked. I remained stationary and insisted and after about 5 minutes, an irate staff checked the system and indeed I had booked a superior and not a standard room. Breakfast is a slice of bread and hot drinks are DIY. Location is fabulous and great for islamic halal food. Literallly at the footsteps of Ben Thanh market.

Gia Huy best hotel for family.
good for family. strategic location for muslim family. location at nguyen an ninh, it's feels like you are in masjid india in malaysia. most important free wifi. You can get halal food easily: just below the hotel . there are list of halal restaurant eg: warung 1 malaysia, kampung melayu, but the best of all is Aysah Restaurant because food price at cheapest and most delish. and booking through hotel.com , makes booking easier and stress free. they offer cheapest rate.

Queen Size Beds, convenient location
My stay at the Gia Huy hotel was great. They have had a change over of staff as of late, but the service and quality is still there. Conveniently located to Ben Thanh market half a street away and a short walk to some lovely restaurants makes it an ideal place to stay. In addition, though it is in the heart of District 1, it is relatively quiet to stay, so outside noise from traffic is minimal.

Great location, fairly quiet
We had an interior room (no windows) on the third floor and it ended up being nice and quiet. It probably helped that the hotel was on a slightly quieter side street. The hotel is a two minute walk to Banh Thanh market and to a huge park in District 1. There were inexpensive restaurants and street food all around. We found the staff to be helpful though only it seemed only a few spoke English well. We'd stay here again. Good value for the price.

The experience with this hitel was great. For someone who is not fit to walk long distance like me, this hotel was perfect - it was just few steps to shopping lots that enables you to keep your bundle of shopping bags into your room before going to the next shop. The staff were very friendly and helpful too.

Disappointing maybe we expected too much
Room size was good but noise from downstairs at reception kept us awake at night. Buffet breakfast disappointing especially last morning when not supplied at all. Staff told us "not enough guests" what were we??? Staff member tried to charge us 40,000vnd for 2 sachets of coffee and when we asked for receipt he suddenly changed his mind and said we could have them for free. Bit of a worry.
