Loved it!! From the check in, to the rooftop pool, breakfast buffet, chicken-mushroom soup, tour booking and foot massage in the spa - yes room do not have window but this is nicely done replaced by a mirror looking like a window! We wanted to extend and return however unfortunately fully booked.

Over rated.Posted Aug 4, 2014
Pros: proximity to night market.
Cons: Bathrooms small, cramped. Separate shower and tub.
Location: Night market is nearby. Some other attractions not close but within walking distance.
The positive: The hotel is centrally located in District 1 and close to the night market. The breakfast buffet is adequate. The negative: For the money, it was poor value and highly over rated. The hotel is located in a seedy area dotted with tiny, narrow dingy looking 2 and 3 star hotels and some no star hotels. The staff seem polite. The room was small and the windows and bathroom also small. The roof top pool was not big and often crowded but it did have a nice view of the city. The rooftop restaurant was virtually empty with a seafood buffet that seemed to be sitting out on a counter for hours in the evening heat. It looked unsafe to eat and we avoided eating it altogether. We spent two nights at the Silverland and then left for another destination. We returned for a final night in Ho Chi Minh a few days later but chose another hotel for our last night. GK Central was recommended to us by someone in the Vietnam hospitality industry. It was a small 3 star hotel but much newer than the Silverland and less than half the price.

Great location but expected far better.Posted Aug 2, 2014
Cons: More details regarding facilities on the site. Saying you have a golf course which is only 2mx4m does not consist of anything noteworthy.
Location: Ben Thanhmarkets just 2 min walk away. Also a short walk to the Oper House, Cathedral and City Hall.
We had requested our two rooms to be interconnecting, however upon arrival we were told they had none in their Hotel. When booked we had requested this so were disappointed they had not let us know this. Great location to the Ben Thanh Markets and other significant sites all within walking distance.

My Trip to HCM, Vietnam.Posted Jul 22, 2014
Pros: The room was superb, the staff were excellent and the services were fantastic.
Cons: Perhaps a few english movies and some english songs would be nice.
Location: Well the ben thanh market, the Cathedral, many eating outlets, the independence palace, and not to forget the city theater.
My stay was excellent. The hotel was fantastic in all aspects and I would recommend it to anyone who plans to go there for a visit. The hotel is located in the center of the city and walking distance from everywhere. So, its easy for travelers to move about the city Cheers..

Hotel that's near shopping and food.Posted Jul 13, 2014
Pros: Staff is friendly, room clean & quite spacious. Breakfast selection is good.
Cons: There are steps leading to lobby from road...if it can be made handicap/ senior citizen friendly will be better.
Location: Near Tourist attractions, near market...can get fresh fruits and cheap food near hotel.
Good service and friendly staffs....breakfast selection is good but if you arrive late, some items were not replenished and cold as well.
