Excellent location

Posted Mar 1, 2015
Pros: The "French" style - stained glass windows etc. Good sized rooms.
Cons: The bathroom was a little dark but otherwise the room was very comfortable.
Location: Excellent location near the river and close to tourist attractions, restaurants and bars.
Very pleasant hotel in a super location. The staff were courteous and helpful and it was easy to arrange trips to see more of HCM. We enjoyed using the swimming pool and the breakfast was very good. All in all a lovely break in a very attractive hotel.

Nice hotel, well situated, great service

Posted Feb 25, 2015
Pros: Good location, a little more expensive than some in the area but worth it for the old world charm, comfort and service. The breakfast service is okay.
Cons: Breakfast could be a little higher grade, considering the cost, and is a little disorganised due to available space but have had much worse, overall.
Location: Across the road from the Saigon River, good shopping precinct and Saigon Squares 1& 2 10mins away. Close to good cafe's & restaurants on Dong Khoi St
Enjoyed staying here because my upgrade to a poolside room was appreciated with a comfortable, quiet situation on the 2nd floor. Also the staff were very friendly, helpful and efficient. I decided to stay there another 3 days on my return to Ho Chi Min City and explore the area further because there are quite a few attractions and good shopping close-by.

Elegant Classic Hotel

Posted Feb 20, 2015
By far , my favorite hotel in Vietnam , and possibly planet earth . From the great gatsby era, built in 1925 , this beautiful hotel outshines all the new modern ones , with comfort , elegance and Sophistication . You are transported back in time , but in a good way . On par with the best of them ( Plaza Hotel , NYC) Highly recommended !!!!

Posted Feb 16, 2015

It is not worth for the money

Posted Feb 13, 2015
The receptionist gave us a cheaper room. After long back and forth arguments, finally the manager gave us the room that we booked with a very weak reason why they did not give us that room in the first place.

Great stylish hotel steeped in history.

Posted Feb 12, 2015
Pros: Position, history, furnishing, staff.
Cons: The rooftop bar is a great spot for an evening cocktail but choice of entertainment (band with singers) was too loud.
Everything about our stay in this hotel was excellent. Staff were welcoming and professional. Hotel is in an excellent spot for walking to main attractions. Room overlooked the river with balcony and was furnished with antiques consistent with the history of the hotel. Buffet breakfast on the fifth floor provided great range of food and view of river. Would stay again.

Sehr schön ausgestattetes Nostalgie 5-Sternehaus

Posted Feb 5, 2015
