“First visit to HCMC and Lavender Hotel- excellent”

Inexpensive hotel but they do everything well. Well done to the people at the reception, housekeeping restaurant and the foot spa- you are all thoroughly professional and super helpful.

“Super hotel for the price!”

You can not find a better hotel for the price. I tried 4 different hotels. The Lavender is everything we want from a hotel. Clean, newly remodeled, superb location, great staff, and serenely peaceful. Rooms are a bit small but other than that the experience was wonderful! They could have charged another $20 a night and it would still b e a great buy!

“Value for Money”

The Hotel is located near the markets and within walking distance to most attractions. Nicely appointed and although we had a standard room without a window this was not an issue. The rooms are clean, not large in size but appear to have been recently renovated. The Restaurant is located on the roof offering a relatively good view over the city. Breakfast is good but limited in choice. Taxis available from out front of the hotel which is very handy.

“Good hotel, great location, terrible breakfasts.”

For the money this is a great hotel in an excellent location. It's clean, simple and everything works. Be warned, however, that their simplest rooms often do not have windows making them feel very claustrophobic. The staff are polite and helpful but this is not a 'boutique' hotel.... We stayed 2 nights, on our first morning the breakfast was tolerable on the second is was bordering on inedible. However, if you're after a hotel that just works and is in a brilliant location then I'd recommend it.

“Comfortable, but not perfect”

The Lavendar hotel was comforable and clean. Nice lobby, great wifi and great location, right near the big market and within walking distance to most sites. The staff didn't go out of their way, but they were very friendly and professional. Our two big gripes with the hotel are that: 1. Many of the rooms do not have windows (rather they have fake windows that are just hung on the wall with a light behind them. 2. The breakfast was awful. It is a buffet with a weird conglomeration of things, including stale cereal, sausage that tastes like mystery meat hot dogs, day old eggs, white bread and generic supermarket pastries. Even the Vietnamese items were subpar. There were lots of pluses (location, cleanliness, GREAT foot massage), but if you stay, get a room with a window and skip breakfast!
