“Great hotel but you need to take the executive package to really enjoy it.”

Overall we had a great time in the New World Hotel. We went for the executive room and the overall package was great with free drinks for most of the day, free cocktails, and free food and nibbles in the evening. Although the hotel was very nice the room was a little bit dated but it had everthing you would want and was clean. The breakfast was available on both the executive floor and the lobby however the lobby breakfast was far more comprehensive when we were there. The food throughout the hotel was amazing and very cheap so we ate there quite a lot over the trip. The shower head was awful and would be one of the few let downs given the hotel had everything else you could need. “Top Spot for exploring Distict 1 HCMC”

Would recommend the Executive option. The drinks and food provided far exceeded our expectations. Breakfast was great. Staff were helpful. Hotel is opposite a nice park and easy walking distance to shops and restaurants. There is a CBA ATM in the foyer. Plenty of hotel restaurants. Free internet in the business lounge (with executive booking). Everything you could want. Check out was fast and trouble free.

“Good hotel but not worth the money”

The New World hotel in Ho Chi Minh was not what I expected. Been into other New World hotels in the past and they seemed at a higher quality. The hotel is not bad by any means but for the price and the star rating it is below expectations in terms of decor and condition of the hotel, it seems like the hotel could do a renovation soon. The one thing that almost made up for this was the extreme friendliness and helpfulness of the staff. The staff at the hotel was there at moments notice to help you and to answer questions

“At best 4 stars hotel”

Over-priced for the standard of rooms and facilities. At best 4 stars. Also room was spartanly furnished with CRT TV, old bathroom facilities, stained carpet etc. Certainly need to renovate.

“Live Entertainment Nightly”

This was a very nice hotel in terms of ammenities, location, and facilities. However, they have painfully loud live entertainment every night until midnight in the lobby which can be heard all the way up to the fourth floor. Arriving at 9:30pm after a long flight from San Francisco to bad music was not a pleasant experience. If you can handle the noise, this is a good hotel to stay in.

Location of the hotel was not especially good as well. Room OK, but I was booked into an executive room, and this was far from one; a 4* at best! The executive lounge however, was decent, food decent, and unlimited drinks in the afternoon. The staff did a nice job overall.
