Great locationPosted Dec 2, 2013
Cons: Front office staff
Great location situated in the heart of the city, close to all attractions and shopping. Rooms are small but has all amenities. Good breakfast, value for money. Most of the staff are friendly. Front office staff are not very friendly. Specially the old female supervisor, she is grumpy and enoying.

Friendly staff, good location, reasonable rates.Posted Oct 29, 2013
Pros: Friendly staff, good location, reasonable rate depending on day.
Cons: The bath tub/shower in room 320 is constructed such that water will overflow onto the bathroom floor after each shower.
Location: Right in the center of Saigon, with plenty of shops, restaurants, souvenir stores and high end retail centers nearby.
Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Good location. Good breakfast and lunch buffet.

Great Location, Good Staff, Food Poor, Hard BedsPosted Oct 25, 2013
Pros: Staff, Location
Cons: Food, Beds
Location: Shopping, spa, coffee shops, markets, street living and enjoyment.
Stayed 3 nights. Good location for city centre activities. Beds too hard to get a good night's sleep. Coffee shop food poor. Well advertised seafood buffet - available sea food not close to that advertised.

Terrible hotel, terrible service, total rip-offPosted Oct 16, 2013
The room we were initially given was window-less, tiny and smelled like mould. When we complained we were given another tiny room reminiscent of the 70s without the smell. The staff at the front desk were rude and unhelpful. We chose this hotel because it was advertised as 4 star. It would appear that there may have been other rooms which were 4 star but we were told that unless we upgraded to a suite we could not be give a better room. We were told there were no laundries in district 1 so that we would use their over-priced laundry, but it didn't take long to find one on foot a few blocks away. Both the hotel and the cleaning staff were noisy which meant that we didn't get much sleep throughout our stay there. Worst hotel experience ever. Considering we paid extra for a "superior" room we felt totally ripped off.

One Visit was Enough---Find a Better HotelPosted Sep 6, 2013 on Hotels.com
While the location was great, the staff service, room, and amenities were mediocre. The room faced a courtyard "air shaft", the shower curtain was designed not to close completely so each shower would result in a flooded floor, and hot water was intermittent, at best. Food in the buffet, both breakfast and dinner, was just fair. The young man who makes fried eggs or omelettes doesn't listen to your request...he makes whatever eggs he thinks you should have that day. Feels like none of the staff is happy---and it shows. I have stayed at far worse---and far better. Spend a little more and upgrade to a better property.

Very noisy!Posted Aug 14, 2013 on Hotels.com
The hotel itself was good and in a good location. The beds were not comfortable at all. Each morning we were woken up very very early from people vacuuming the corridors, this is not what I expect whilst on holiday! As well as this we could also hear the staff speaking loudly. I would not stay at this hotel again purely because of the noise inside the hotel. I like to feel rested when I go on holiday and I certainly did not feel rested at all this time!!

Good location & breakfast, small roomsPosted Jul 30, 2013 on Hotels.com
My husband and I enjoyed our stay at the Palace Hotel Saigon in district 1. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and speaks English well. Very convenient location, almost everything we wanted was in walking distance. The breakfast was very good, many good choices, and dinner buffet with massive seafood and authentic Vietnamese dishes was excellent at $11/person. The Lemongrass restaurant on 14th floor restaurant has great selections, the chef customized my entrees (based on my food allergy restrictions), very rare in Vietnam. We took the full day group Mekong Delta tour, very reasonable at $25/person and had a great time. One drawback is the small room size and noise level even with windows closed. We had to switch to 13th floor, ask 7th floor or higher.
