nice but expensive

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: rooms are clean and comfortable as it is the 4 star hotel
Cons: pricing should be more competitive
the hotel facilities are okay but it's definitely not a value choice. everything is expensive and we didn't even want to eat at the hotel. recommended tours are also expensive

Nice hotel close to home

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Stayed in a hotel close to grandparents. Excellent location. Not in city centre but you get a more genuine feel. In the surrounding neighbourhood food is cheaper than in centre. Getting into centre is cheap taxi ride and no more than 10mins in a taxi. Hotel staff were very helpful and room were well equipped. TV is a little outdated but very good air conditioning.

Poor stay

Posted May 16, 2014
Wasn't the luxurious accommodation we expected based on the pics they posted. Staff smiled blandly but weren't helpful. I left my expensive GHD hair straightener behind and contacted the hotel by email but received no reply so I called but it was not reported found by housekeeping. The location is not convenient, either.

Great place to stay.

Posted Mar 10, 2014
Pros: Service was very professional. Staff were very nice.
Cons: Better pillows would help. Shuttle to District 1 would be good, too.
Location: The location was in District 3, a little off the beaten path for most tourists. A short at I drive to District 1.
We were looking for a place with a pool. This place fit the bill. It looks very modern, and had a great bathroom. Pillows and bed were a little hard, but room was very clean.

Business meeting near the Airport

Posted Nov 1, 2013 on Hotels.com
We were at the Ramana for 2 nights during a business trip. We enjoyed our stay at Ramana. The room was comfortable. The Wifi was intermittent in our room but we were able to use the "business center". The buffet breakfast had a variety of choices. The service was the best. We had to make last minute changes with our flight reservations and the staff took care of all the arrangements. For the price, and location near the Airport, we would highly recommend this hotel.

Surprisingly good place to experience HCMC from.

Posted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: Cheapest hotel with pool in HCMC. Good breakfast (eat up and skip lunch!). Balcony a fine observation post, and relatively quiet too. Try room 912.
Cons: The masseuse was not very professional (!). Nothing to plug your iPod into.
Location: Experience the chaos of the streets and then explore the alleys for a glimpse of life for the locals. No tourist hassles, just friendly residents.
Not normally 4 star hotel clientele, but we were visiting with a small child during the end of the monsoon, so the humidity was severe. The Ramana's pool was a godsend, the aircon essential and our balcony view fantastic (9th floor only). Pay the extra and gasp in wonder at the megapolis below! Great brekky and really delightful staff. Not really a tourist area, so no District 1 hassle, but plenty of interesting lane ways full of life and commerce - don't walk along the main streets, head down the little alleyways and see how the locals live. Taxis are cheap, so getting to D1 not a problem. Really glad we stayed there.
