“This is a gem”

I have stayed in many hotels and never once was the experience so good that I was compelled to write a review. The Saigon Domaine however impressed us so much that I have no qualms in recommending this hotel. The hotel is on an island approx 15 minutes from the city centre, the hotel had a speedboat and minibus shuttle schedule for hotel guests to the city. Saigon is a wonderful place it’s a hustle and bustle city; the Saigon Domaine is peaceful and tranquil, two different worlds. The hotel is lovely and clean, the staff were wonderful and friendly, they have a kiddies pool and a decent size swimming pool. We had breakfast on the deck most mornings watching the boats go by. We had a lovely two bedroom apartment which was a lot bigger than other apartments I have stayed at in Australia, with a balcony overlooking the river, we were very comfortable.

“Saigon Domaine Rocks!”

We stay at SD from 12/26/11 to 1/2/12. The room was outstanding and the hotel staff took very good care of us. The room was very nicely appointed with Southeast Asian furniture and art. The hardwood floors, veranda overlooking the Saigon River, 2 full baths and 3 toilets, and kitchen with washer and dryer made our stay too easy and confortable. We loved taking the SD's water taxi to District 1, the downtown area, in the morning for shopping and sightseeing and then relaxing pool side at the SD during the heat of the mid-afternoon. We also had a blasting trekking through the neighborhood near the SD. There's a great local market area across the street from the KFC about a 15 ~ 20 minute walk from the SD (or less than a $1 taxi ride). We were the only foreigners there so we got a lot of attention from the locals. The open-air restaurants near the SD were awesome. I traveled with my wife and 16 year old daughter and 15 year old son. We'll definitely stay at the SD again in the future.

“Apartment GREAT, Breakfast ok”

3bdrm apartment excellent. Breakfast could be topped up when food gets low.Staff to let guests know ,they can cook fresh omelete, eggs or other food not much food in bain marie. FREE Boat & Bus services great, thanks to driver and captain. Apartment spacious and extremely clean.

“An almost perfect alternative to downtown lodging”

Clean spacious 1 BR suite with river on one side and noisy local street on the other. Staff was faultless. I happened to be placed in a suite on the street side and the hotel was unable to accommodate my request to change to the more quiet and picturesque river view. I did not care for the fact that the toilet and tiny sink was in a separate room from the bath tub and double sinks (but this would be useful if one is hosting guests and wants to give them access to the toilet without going through the bedroom). These quibbles were very small issues in an otherwise delightful stay. Families with young children will appreciate a padded play room off the lobby. The suite itself offered great bang for the buck with dark wood floors, sat TV (in LR only), washer-dryer and balcony. Complimentary wifi, water and soft drinks were nice extras. The included breakfast was more than adequate and it was served on the picturesque riverside deck. The pool was quiet, refreshing and lovely. The complimentary 15-20 minute shuttle to District 1 (by boat or by van) was welcome and even fun. When its schedule didn't work for me, a taxi was the equiv of about $5 to downtown (about $8 to the airport). I will certainly stay here again on my next trip and will confirm a river view in advance.
