“Good But A Little Out of Downtown”
The Windsor Plaza Hotel is a good hotel, particularly if you book the executive rooms. These permit access to the lounge on the 25th floor where there is always free food and drinks plus internet access. The breakfast buffet is amazing--the selection is endless--from western style to all types of Asian style food is available. The hotel is not in the heart of downtown so you will have to either take the hotel's shuttle (very convenient) or take a cab which costs only a few dollars. The staff had a little problem understanding my requirement to add an additional day to my stay. As a result, there was no room available on the final day of my stay and I had to change hotels. Therefore, be careful when dealing with the front desk. Make sure they understand your request.
“This hotel does not deserve 4 stars. 2.5 stars tops”
This hotels pretends to be good. It does not even have a clock in the room. The room smells. Don't be surprise if you find a dead cockroach or two in the room. I booked with expedia and got a good rate. But when I needed to extend my stay by one day, they want to charge 25% more and gave me all kinds of hassles and won't give me the old rate. The only way to get the same rate is to book with my agent. But wait, I'm in Vietnam, long distance call are expensive and time difference of 12 hours from US. Big hassle here. I complained and pretty much told tough luck. Where is the service here? OK as a 2.5 to 3 star hotel. Definitely not 4 stars.
