“Nice, clean, friendly hotel that needs some updating.”

This is a nice hotel in a residential location about a 45-minute walk from the center of the city. It is one street removed from the highway, which can easily be heard through the old sturdy wooden doors during the morning rush hour. The room I was in had a television, a phone, a wall heater, an electric blanket, and a refrigerator. The furniture was basic and the bed will soon need to be replaced. There was no air conditioner in the room, which is apparently cooled by opening the windows onto the adjoining walkway. It was quite cold outside at night. The room was kept clean and well supplied. The building and room are decades old, and the bathroom is oversized and cold, without its own heater. The hosts and the hotel staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. This is a good choice for people who like older, basic hotels in residential neighborhoods.
