“clean,spacious,comfortable”

Mayfair Plaza Motel started as a Shopping Plaza which failed because it was perceived as too many steps from the main Sandy Bay shopping. Strange,actually,as it is literally 25m from Magnet Court (shopping/chemist/restaurants,newsagent) and around 50m from The Dome- a very comfortable cafe- with an excellent breakfast,admirable coffee and both light and more substantial meals all day. The Motel room was very spacious;so much so that 2QS beds,a table with 4chairs,a writing desk and chair and TV did not clutter the room. Also a big robe and bathroom. All very clean.

Extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the room and whole complex. Staff very professional and friendly. Good location - plenty of good places to eat within walking distance. If you don't want to pay full on prices and stay right in Hobart, this is a fantastic place to stay. We will stay here again.

“A good option in Hobart”

The Mayfair proved to be an excellent choice. 20 minutes walk from Salamanca Place and Constitution Dock. A bottle shop on site (very important) and in a neighbourhood with many options for breakfast and casual eating. Note that the Mayfair has no restaurant but that wasn't an issue for us. When I specifically asked for wifi access they moved us into a King size bed unit (an upgrade) at no charge. It does tell us that not every room is within range of their wireless router ;-) Fresh, clean and most agreeable.

“Great Location, Walking Distance to Heaps”

5 of us stayed in a 2 double bed room. Room was massive and very spacious, clean and comfortable. Hotel is located within very short walking distance to Coles and Woolsworth Supermarkets, shops and restaurants. Staff was extremely helpful; full of suggestions and information for tourist sites etc. It's also very close to Salamanca Place. Free parking spot was definitely a major plus. We will definitely use this again in the future, Thanks!

“Very Relaxing”

I spent from 24/2/11 to 28/2/11 extremely comfortable accomodation in a unique setting as it is set inside a shopping complex, no traffic noise at all. A good location with ample food shops and a Supermarket over the road. Excellent bus service at the door although a walk to central Hobart only about 12 minutes. I hope to return in the future

Overall satisfied. Reception hours are 8am-8pm, as we arrived late there was a convenient after-hours-machine, where we still got our keys to a nice and large room with water views. Coles supermarket is next door and open till midnight - quite convenient as well. Within walking distance there are a couple of take away and bistro style 'restaurants'. 2 Minute drive to Salamanca markets.

the hotel was a good base for seeing Hobart. A short walk to Westpoint in one direction or Salamanca in the other.Hotel staff friendly, clean and spacious room with the facilities to make breakfast bought from Coles across the road. Plenty of asian restaurants around the hotel. The free underground car park was very useful. Would stay there again.

my girlfriend @ I were really happy with our accomodation, its not 5 star but very clean, spacious ( room3), the staff were great and the location very central, the cafes ,shops, bakery( brezels_you have to try it, just outside opposite coles) were 5 mins away and we could walk to central hobart .
