“great position”

Having pre booked for a weeks stay, I was initially disappointing when I discovered the view from my room was to the carpark but was given a room with the more pleasant street outlook upon request so I was happy with that. Great service in the bar and restaurant and good food too. Room (suite) was good with good kitchen facilities and staff very helpful

“Very Impressed”

Motel was esxcellent, we had family room and the rooms were quite spacious and beds comfortable, Breakfast choices excellent. Motel in excellent position to try many resturants. Parking complimentary which was good would go back again

“In the middle of Salamanca”

We chose locale and this fit the bill. We were able to walki everywhere. It was beautifully serviced and the staff were very attentive. Attached restaurant was very nice and reasonably priced. We loved the seafood chowder!

“Salamanca Inn the place to stay”

Loved it. Hotel staff could not be anymore accommodating. Room was excellent. Not far from Salamanca markets. Easy to access. Loved it loved it.

“Great place to stay in a good location”

I went with 3 friends. Staff were lovely, room was good and quiet. Hotel is in a great location. The only problem we had was that the toilet is in the bathroom, so that was unavailable when someone is showering. Kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely stay there again.

“Hobart's Salamanca Inn”

Overall a pleasing experience with a couple of things to make a note of; The mattress could have been a little firmer. The laundry across our room was being used too early in the mornings or that it was in the wrong area altogether.We could not get a decent sleep during the early morning ours. One other thing worth mentioning is that the movies provided on the movie channels got boring as the same movies were just repeated every night. Other than these issues we enjoyed our stay.The hotel was very central to everything within just a short stroll.

“Good hotel, but boring like most”

It's time hotels, including this one, began giving genuine benefits to travellers rather than trying to build loyalty by boring service and cleanliness standards. All hotels are supposed to be clean and offer good service (many don't have good service of course). Having just stayed at a hotel in Shanghai on the way to Hobart, we were overjoyed at three simple, low cost benefits which seems to have eluded Australian hotels generally - complimentary bottles of drinking water on each bedside table (the price hotels charge for water is criminal and travellers talk about that more than any other single thing, don't you realise), a pod coffee machine (most households now have a decent coffee machine - it's no longer a luxury item but a necessity), and a small offering of fruit (how much does an orange and an apple cost). These are simple, low cost benefits, which I guarantee will earn hotels more brownie points among travellers than any other intangibles like service or clean rooms. The bar staff were good value by the way and very helpful on the one occasion we used the bar. The same could not be said for the breakfast staff - the coffee was sent back twice and then abandoned altogether because they could not produce a simple espresso (the first cup had lipstick all over it).
