Pros: Layout of room, comfortable bed, great friendly service from staff. You can buy little breakfast packs for a few dollars. Close proximity to city.

We stayed for 5 nights and were really happy with the room. Excellent layout. Even a kitchenette to make breakfast. Very comfortable bed, spacious room and private. Lovely bathroom and fab shower. Reception and cleaning staff provided excellent service. The apartments are well situated in Battery Point, close to the Salamanca Place and docks. Really close to city centre .You can walk around and enjoy the whole area. Close to lots of cafes and pubs. I would recommend St Ives to anyone.

So close to Salamanca and great restaurants.Posted Jul 1, 2014
St Ives was walking distance to the city and Salamanca. We could also walk to restaurants and it was convenient to have a bottle shop at the doorstep. The only problem that we experienced was that the noise from other guests staying in the room above us, was very loud.

Apartments was in a very good location , with shops and restaurants nearby. The 2 bedroom apartment itself was cozy and very clean. Great amenities such as tv and daily housekeeping was a bonus . However I found some members of the reception to not be warm and inviting . In saying that I would recommend this hotel to other travellers

Pros: The room very comfortable / especially the kitchen
Location: Highly recommend visit to art museum MONA
No surprises / can walk to everything / but far enough away from the harbor so there wasn't a lot of congestion.

Nice and centralPosted May 13, 2014
Had a great time in Hobart, St Ives was central to everywhere we went. Staff were lovely, rooms were exactly as described, clean and comfy beds. Little kitchenettes were handy. Would definitely recommend.

Pros: Proximity to Salamanca and Hobart waterfront
Cons: Tired looking motel. Not at all like photos on internet.
Location: Fantastic location. Short walk to Salamanca markets. Salamanca markets and a trip to MONA are a must.
The motel is a short walk to the Salamanca and the waterfront. St Ives is a good budget motel. Some of the front staff weren't particularly friendly.

Nice little handy locationPosted May 5, 2014
Pros: Comfortable bed, everything needed for four day stay was available, hardly any noise,
Cons: TV with the guide on it. All the time had to flick the channels to see what was on. Maybe a TV guide for everyday TV.
Location: Nice looking houses, walk to Sandy Bay shops, Salamanca markets, wharf and to the Hobart CBD was easy.
One of the staff member was extremely pleasant. She explained us about the surroundings very nicely as this was our first time traveling to Hobart. The bed was really comfortable. All essential things for cooking were available. Overall the apartment experience was very good. We did not have balcony but instead had a wonderful view of Mt Wellington.
