Pros: Clean, comfortable, good position, free parking, walking distance to CBDS.
Cons: Free wifi.
Location: Good location on the edge of historic Battery Point and good restaurants.
Free wifi not guest friendly which is not good enough for travellers, especially people travelling for work.

Lovely apartmentPosted Oct 2, 2014
Pros: Free wi-fi, the fact you could walk to many places of interest and the Red Bus stops outside.
Cons: I don't feel anything needs to be changed.
Location: Salamanca Markets, Battery Point, Red Bus, Foreshore, shops, many points of interest are within walking distance and public transport at your door.
We arrived a little early, staff were great let us straight into our apartment. The room was large, modern and well laid out. We loved the free wi-fi so easy to log onto, overall we were very impressed by the appearance, friendliness and positioning of ST Ives.

Good hotel, great viewsPosted Sep 25, 2014
Pros: The rooms were good. Bathroom was very clean. Have a good brekky - pay $3.50 and get bread, cereal & jam etc. pick up night before eat when ready
Cons: I could not fault anything
Location: It is right in Battery Point and close to Constitution Dock. You can also walk into Hobart
We enjoyed our stay at St Ives. It was close to everything, including a supermarket. We could walk or drive to Salamanca Markets, Constitution dock. We had a great view out to the Tasman Bridge

Modern Updated Apartment Hotel in Battery PointPosted Sep 24, 2014
Pros: Modern, clean and hotel staff
Cons: Noise level.
Location: Located in historic area called Battery Point, close to the Salamanca Market and harbor by walking.
Arrived in the late am and was able to check-in as room was available. We had a split level 2 bedroom apartment, bedrooms and bathroom upstairs, living and kitchen area downstairs. Also had a balcony with an ocean, city and bridge view Unit has been updated and looked modern. Kitchen is okay to cook a simple breakfast for 2. No dishwasher, no free laundry, two burner stove with no oven and no bathroom downstairs. Unit is long and narrow and bedrooms are small. Storage is okay for a long stay. Bathroom is small and the toilet is in a tight location. Shower was great and good amenities. Unit is serviced daily. Hotel staff was exceptional and made you feel welcome. Bus stop close by and tour companies pick you up at the bus stop. Hotel is next to historic Battery Point and a great walk to the waterfront. In the other direction. Salamanca, harbor and CBD is a easy 10 to 15 minute walk down but returning is all uphill. Restaurants, shopping and supermarkets also fairly close-by if you are walking but again uphill on the return. We really liked this apartment but would not stay there again because of the internal noise level. Your can easily hear everything and everyone in the hallway and in the adjoining units. We had kids running up and down the stairs into the late night and this was really noisy. You can hear people talking in the bedrooms as if they are in the room with you. For the three nights we were there, we had 1 night of reasonable sleep. No staff in the late night.

Close to Salamanca, Sandy Bay and the city.Posted Sep 13, 2014
Pros: Location, room and amenities and staff service.
Cons: Nothing, it was great.
Location: Close to Salamance, Battery Point, Hobart CBD, Sandy Bay.
This renovated accommodation is comfortable, immaculately clean and the scenery from your room spectacular with the view all the way to Mt Wellington. Located on the same street as Jackman McRoss bakery in Battery Point, who could ask for more. A short stroll into the heart of Battery point to Arthur Circus and then over to Kelly's Steps into the world of the Salamanca markets on Saturday. The antique shop of Warwick Oakman is close by as are a number of intriguing botiques - you are spoilt by choice. There are many quality pub experiences in close vicinity and my tip - walk around, eat, experience the scenery and seasons of this great town - St Ives staff will make you feel like you are in your home away from home.
