Clean, comforts of home, close to hobart

Very clean room. All toiletries, heating and bedding required for a comfortable stay. A short 5min drive straight down Elizabeth st into the heart of Hobart.

Not somewhere that I could reccommend.

Posted Apr 26, 2015
Cons: Service the rooms. At least provide a continental breakfast with the accommodation price Parking for the upper level needs to be addressed.
Windows were dirty. Booked for three but towells were only provided for two, so a trip to the service desk had to be made for the extras. Our room was not serviced before our second night stay. Parking near your room is difficult unless you are on the bottom level. You have to lug suitcases up flights of stairs or from the block next door as convenient onsite parking is very limited. Nowhere close by to eat. If you are on the bottom level, don't expect a quiet nights sleep as the floorboards are VERY noisy. The atmosphere of the place is cold and impersonal. We stayed in 8 diffirent places during our holiday in Tasmania and this was by far the most dissapointing.

Hi we are not sure why your room was not serviced we do have sign to put on the door if you require a room service if you park your car at the top of the motel and you are staying on the top floor you have access through the top door that way there is not one stair to walk up. there is a shopping complex approx 10 minute walk on the other side of risdon road there is also a pizza hut ,Chinese restaurant , Bakery, and our local hotel which offer counter meals Wednesday to Sunday meals start from $10.00 which are great value if you have a vehicle the city of hobart is only a few minutes drive away i personnely think Waterfront Lodge is great value for what you are paying for, as mentioned in other guests comments.. We appreciate your feed back Happy Travelling Regards PT Manager

Nice location

Posted Apr 21, 2015
Pros: Very helpful receptionist, her name is Wen. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the attractions of Hobart. Good location if you have a car.
Cons: The car parking facilities are limited and although there is an overflow parking, it is in a paddock so could get very messy when it is wet and muddy
We were a family of 2 adults and 2 children and were in Room No 2. The room was very spacious. The facilities include a microwave oven, toaster and tea/coffee hot water and a mini fridge. There were 2 double beds and 2 single beds so could comfortably take 6 people. Very helpful receptionist, her name is Wen. She was extremely knowledgeable about all the attractions of Hobart. The location is handy if you have a car though.

Comfort, reasonably price and close to Hobart cit

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Location: There is no restaurants and shopping centres in walking distant but plenty of restaurant deliver to the lodge.
We stayed for 3 nights, had good experience. Only thing I would like to mention is if you want to get around the city often then you need your own car. We had tours booked, every body knew the location no problem.

Nice hotel with nice view over the river

Posted Apr 20, 2015
Pros: see rating
Cons: It would be nice to have a little stool to put your clothes on when taking a shower. There is just enough room for that.
Enjoyed the room, very comfortable. Only problem, no place to eat nearby, or to buy any food. But the center of town very close.

Nice room and very cheap!

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: Price! It's a steal compared to other Backpackers. Room was nice, big and comfortable beds, TV and fridge. Parking slots available and near to highway
Cons: Use a vacuum cleaner! I mean, if they put clean sheets on your bed every day, they can at least use a cleaner (even when there is not much floor).
Location: Located near highway to get to the city. Coles and shopping mall also nearby. Hobart itself has many posibilities, just look for them in the internet.
We stayed there for 4 nights. Compared to those backpackers before, this was quite a steal. It cost the same as the backpackers, but the room and comfort is way better! Room was clean so far, however, they didn't clean the floor with a vacuum cleaner (which should be not a big thing). They only seem to get your bed new and maybe change the towels every day. TV was also in there as well as a small kitchen (but without possibilities to cook; there is a bigger kitchen on the near the rooms to cook), a bathroom with a shower and a big window front. They also provide free wi-fi, however, the only router seems to be located in the lobby, so if you don't have a room near that, you don't get the wi-fi signal in your room as well. All in all, very nice place to stay!

Motel at cheap price in a good location for me

Posted Apr 17, 2015
Pros: The view from my room was lovely and the staff were great when I was checking in. Having the microwave in my room makes for easy meals.
Cons: Walls seem very thin so insulation in the walls to help with noise transfer between rooms might be handy.
I stay here regularly and each time I find the staff to be very friendly and my room comfortable and clean. I also note that the motel management have taken actions, where they can, in response to my previous feedback.

Pros: the room was spacious and clean close to shops
Cons: parking was not great i had to park in vacant block next door
Location: location was good and close to hobart mt welington and not to far from port arthur
the room walls were so thin i could hear people snoring next door and talking as if they were in the same room as us and air conditioning was a fan in the corner
