“Very clean and modern”

The Hotel was very clean, modern and comfortable. Close to a great pub 2 minutes drive away.

If you need a hotel that is easy to find, excellent value for money, perfectly located, look no more. Beds were very comfy, no noise at night, slept like a log. The kitchen even had a sharp knife, we all know how rare that is to come by!

This visit of 3 days takes my total at Woolmers Inn to 21 days. It's perfect for my study trips. The staff are helpful & local shopping centre is just along the street.

“Value for money”

Was an ok location to walk to the cbd. Road noise was quite loud but rooms were very comfortable. Felt it was fine to have kids there.

The room was clean & well appointed. I was very happy with the room.

“Not impressed”

Check in lady was very friendly and welcoming. But after we settled into our room which was ok, we noticed we were right next door to a commercial premises. There was ongoing noise (machinery) until about 6 and started early the next morning. There was also not much privacy as our windows were facing directly into the business premises (no fence). This was ok as we were out most of the time but if we had been looking for a quiet relaxing place to chill out this was not it!

reception staff friendly & helpful, pointed us to local eateries. Exterior very cute & well cared for- old brick architecture with sweet awnings. Room itself was dreary & dark. TV was positioned such that you cant' watch it from couch or bed so what are they thinking? Hard, mean bed & pillows. Quiet, clean, good shower. Easy walking distance to Battery Point, Coles groc about 1- 2 blocks. Good place if you are just passing through, ie 2.5 stars,maybe 3.

“unimpressed”

"2 Room Suite" was much smaller than expected. Beds uncomfortable. Lounge room to dark. Insufficient space for 4 people. Location the only plus.

“A very basic and older hotel but better than the YHA Montegomery hostel.”

I chose this hotel vs staying at a hostel as I didn't want to have my sleep interrupted as I had just arrived and didn't want jetlag getting in the way of a busy week. I also picked it as there was parking at the hotel. The hotel looks cute on the outside but the only new thing is the bedspread (as shown in the pictures). Everything else include the table, chairs, couch & bathroom were older. I don't know how well they cleaned the bathroom as I found some hairs there. My room had a kitchen with microwave & fridge. This room has no AC but luckily Hobart is cooler than the mainland Australia. It must be located close to a school or university based on the number of students I saw in the area but it is a quiet hotel. There are small independent restaurants and a Woolworth grocery store located within a 10 minute walking distance from the hotel.
