Nice hotel.Posted Jul 5, 2015
Cons: King bed mattress should be one mattress and not 2 single size ones stuck together.
Parking made easy. Friendly hotel staff and clean hotel overall. Room service food is excellent! Only small detail that bothered me a bit was the king size bed is actually made up of 2 large single size matresses. Otherwise, won't hesitate a second to stay there next time I am in Tasmania.

Great HotelPosted Jun 16, 2015
From the moment we arrived we were treated like a person and not another number entering the hotel. Staff were more than accommodating. Very friendly and professional. Nothing was too much trouble. We were upgraded to a Tower Room with a Harbour View. Room was clean and comfortable. Would definitely stay at Wrest Point again. Really enjoyed our stay.

Art Deco nostalgia with all the comforts.Posted Jun 15, 2015
Cons: Gym closes at 10. Midnight would be better.
Location: Fishing in the Derwent. Brezel bakery opposite Coles Sandy Bay. Incredible cakes and bread. All the delights of Hobart are minutes away.
Delightful stay from beginning to end. Magnificent water views, clean room with everything we needed, friendly, willing staff, abundant choices of food venues from classy restaurants to easy cafes, tennis, mini golf, fishing, gym, pool, spa, sauna, even free entertainment every night in the Birdcage bar. It was like a resort. We had a great week. Up there with all the top hotels.

Good stay for short timePosted Jun 6, 2015
Pros: We dined in the revolving restaurant. It was nice view very good service but we find it a bit pricy for what it was.....
The Hotel is a bit dated could use an upgrade. Staff is very helpful and friendly. We stayed on the 15th floor, the view was nice, the room was acceptable.

Pros: Convenient to downtown Hobart; great view; comfortable
Good value- if you stay in the Watersedge section. Great view over Derwent. Dining is expensive though. Casino adjacent is ultra- crass and depressing - but all casinos are.

Nice hotel short stay from the CityPosted Mar 31, 2015
Pros: Clean and good staff and amenities
Cons: Perhaps a bit of an update in décor.
Location: 10 Minutes from main City plenty of restaurants close by. On the main bus route and hop on/off bus comes right to the Hotel.
Good clean Hotel, some say its a bit dated but it was fine for me. Helpful staff, very clean and good amenities. Short stay from the main city 10 minutes drive, parking provided at no additional cost. Close to the waterfront and has good views of the Bay and Wellington mountain depending on which side of the Hotel you stay. Would recommend you stay away from the lift as sometimes patrons can be noisy. Onsite Casino if you into that kind of thing and a few restaurants to choose from.

Staff ;/ Service very good. Food not so muchPosted Mar 24, 2015
Pros: Room, Most staff
Location: Hobart waterfront
This hotel seems to cater mainly to bus group tours. Many going there to play at the casino. Front desk and guest service were generally very good although you sometimes had to navigate a sea of suitcases to approach them. The "coffee shop" was a buffet and the only place for breakfast. You had to navigate the hordes of bus trippers. The Pier One restaurant was pretty decent. The Loft Bistro was abysmal in both food prep and service. I would definitelhy stay elsewhere on my next visit to Hobart
