Great Weekend Stay!

Posted Jun 18, 2014
Pros: From the minute we arrived, the staff member on the front desk was friendly, welcoming and really informative. The "Harbour Terrace Room" was amazing
Cons: Nothing comes to mind.
Location: Location was terrific, right next to the docks, a short walk to Salamanca Markets and the wharf to Mona.
We were two couples travelling to Hobart for a long weekend. We had a great visit to Mona, a must do while in Hobart, a fun day at the Salamanca Markets and a lovely trip to Richmond. We can thoroughly recommend "The Drunken Admiral" which is virtually next door to the hotel for a great seafood meal. All in all a fabulous weekend away!

good position

Posted May 3, 2014
Pros: It was quiet and had all the features I needed, plenty of tea and coffee sachets and addtional items like blankets and pillows in the cupboard.
Cons: Towel rails in the bathroom as hooks do not allow towels to dray quickly enough
Location: Harbourside, easy walk to Salamanca Place, wharves for ferries and a few blocks from the Information Centre.
We were able to easliy access all tourist amenities quickly from the hotel. The view across the harbour was attractive and interesting.

Nice hotel in great location

Posted Apr 20, 2014
Pros: Great position, no noise from other rooms
Cons: The mini-gym is indeed very small and located off the underground carpark. Not at all inviting!
I was attending a conference in the Grand Chancellor Hotel, directly across the road, so Zero Davey was an excellent option, much cheaper than the Grand Chancellor, with everything I needed: clean bathroom, comfortable bed, bar fridge, kitchenette, TV. My tiny balcony had a view of the main road - not so exciting - but I wasn't in my room much during the day. Very easy to step outside and walk along the waterfront to nearby restaurants and bars, or to Salamanca Place. Mona ferry about 5 min walk. Supermarket about 15 min walk away for supplies.

Pros: Basically clean and comfortable. Convenient to the city and waterfront. Lovely Cafe for breakfast.
Cons: Need to dust on top of wardrobes. Very dusty.
Location: Right on the waterfront. Close to city cafes and restaurants.
Central to everything in Hobart. A1 for convenience.

Boutique Hotel

Posted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: It was a good size with a kitchenette and reserved parking.
Cons: The rooms with no view and next to the busy corridor should have been discounted.
Location: Great location.
Weekend away from Sydney. The images on the website were slightly different to what we got. One end of the room was a busy and noisy street and the other side was a corridor leading to the carpark and lift. It was noisy, we could hear all the doors slamming in the corridor cause the acoustics were so bad. The bed was very uncomfortable and unfortunately I wouldn't have called it "Boutique" On a positive note the service was great, the man at reception was very lovely to deal with.

Nice Hotel close to everything,

Posted Apr 2, 2014
Pros: The location, the room size, the inclusions, the staff, the cleanliness.
Cons: an extra couple of pillows for tv watching.
Location: Right on Constitution Dock which is close to the salamander markets, some great bars and cafe's, all the tourist trips.
We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel (with its unusual name). Fantastic location right on the waterfront and within walking distance of most tourist spots. The room was large and had everything. The staff were friendly and helpful. We only wished we could have stayed longer.

Very disappointing experience

Posted Mar 30, 2014
We booked a 'Courtyard' room at this hotel. I think the marketing team need to do some research on courtyards! Description reads "This room doesn't have a view but has it's own courtyard." Is this case the courtyard was a miserable service thoroughfare shared by the hotel rooms and adjacent cafe just metres from the main street. The overall experience was very disappointing.
