“Fantastic Dining in the Mulberry Restaurant at this charming B&B”
I loved staying at this very charming bed & breakfast. The staff are fantastic, the setting is idyllic and the food is phenomenal. I can honestly say that staying at the Aylesbury was one of the highlights of our trip to the U.K. and I highly recommend it.
“Friendly Hotel”
The staff at the Aylesbury Court Hotel were extremely friendly & helpful. The hotel & the bedrooms could do with some updating. But overall a pleasant stay in a wonderful & restful setting.
“Beautiful setting: just needs a little TLC”
We arrived at the Hotel in sunshine and the drive in was quite beautiful - if you like historic buildings (it boasts a priesthole) and lovely gardens with rabbits hopping about on the lawns. We thought it was charming. The new managers have only been there just over a month and couldn't do enough for us. There was no evening restaurant service during our stay as the hotel is "between chefs" but it is only a 10 minute walk to 3 local pubs all with food, so no hardship, and the manager offered to rustle up sandwiches and chips if we wanted. There is an hourly bus service from the main road to Stratford upon Avon in one direction and Birmingham town centre in the other. This was really handy as parking in Stratford is a nightmare. We were located in the annexe rather than the main building. The rooms were basic en-suite and the price reflected this but they were clean and reasonably comfortable, if a little noisy (you could hear all the comings and goings of the other guests). If you are a TV fan, there is only terrestrial TV on a small portable type machine, but apparently this is in hand to be updated. On the whole, if you want a really inexpensive weekend away, in a lovely part of the country, with handy local amenities (pubs, shop, buses etc) this hotel is fine and when the managers have had time to give it a little TLC will be a really great find.
“Just suited us”
Just suited us. We learned it has been under new management since February. At the present time its decor looks tired; we shall look forward to seeing the impact of the new managements on its appearance.
“Comfortable get away from the hubub with VERY friendly service”
My 2nd stay here within a month. This time I was in one of the 4 more luxurious bedrooms in the main house. My ONLY criticism was that the toilet was jammed in between the wall and the shower and made it very uncomfortable to jam into for the " sitting down " functions. The service was helpful and very friendly every from check-in , breakfast , to check-out or any time you saw any member of staff. Cannot recommend more highly.
“Disappointed with the standard of the hotel overall.”
some of the staff were exceptionally good, others exceptionally bad. Breakfast was terrible and the rooms were very basic (for example no remote control for the TV and no towels upon arrival). We hope they will improve it as it has huge potential. the area surrounding the hotel is gorgeous and a refurbishment of the stunning main building would bring the hotel standard to what it should really be.
