Tropical resort hotel. Perfect location.

Posted Sep 15, 2014
Pros: Location, location, location. Tropical gardens and pool. Resort style living. Breakfast restaurant indoor or out. Large well appointed room, balcony.
Cons: Bath shower was high and not suitable for anyone with limited mobility. They do have rooms with showers though.
Location: Walk to the historic centre of Hoi An and the river in a few minutes. Tailors all walking distance. Free hotel shuttle or taxi the 4km to the beach.
Hoi An Historic Hotel is a trendy resort hotel. Perfect location on the edge of the historic centre of the ancient city. The historic city, tailors, restaurants, shops etc are all a short walk from the hotel. We had a large twin room with balcony overlooking the large black marble lined pool. The pool bar and food service pool side was great. The gardens are extensive and well manicured. Breakfast at the restaurant was very good with an egg station. It was possible to eat breakfast al fresco. The hotel owes its location and scale to having originally been one of the first hotels built for Hoi An by the government, but it has now been fully renovated and extended by its current owners. Climbing in and out of the bath shower would be difficult for people with limited mobility, such clients should ask for a shower room, which they do have. Tour booking centre and free shuttle service to beach were useful. Expensive laundry service but there are plenty of laundry services nearby.

Great hotel walking distance to shops, with a reso

Posted Sep 9, 2014
Pros: Hotel was central to the old town and supplied transfer to the beach on a regular timetable
Cons: The only criticism is the beds were quite firm and took a while to get use to.
Location: The hotel is situated near the hospital, post office tailors, jewellers and other shops.
Room was spacious and tastefully decorated. It is situated in the heart of hoi an old town, with shopping aplenty. The grounds of the hotel are a tropical delight with a spacious pool, longes aplenty and a small pool sectioned off for young children. The staff were friendly, helpful and happy to accolade guests. With a delicious breakfast supplied, I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again and again.

Fantastic Hotel

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: The location and facilities it had.
Cons: nothing
Location: WE did a cooking class and bike ride from this hotel which was really nice. There are many tailor made clothes shops nearby if you want a suit of dres
We really enjoyed our time at this hotel. Location was close to the old town to eat out of a night and shuttle to the beach was regular. Breakfast had a wide selection of choices. All staff were friendly and helpful. Extra Room facilities included, flip flops, and dressing gown. A nice touch was having a drink on arrival to hotel and someone to take your luggage to your room. Pool was clean with plenty of sun beds available and we were given swimming towels to use aswel. I can not fault this hotel.

Second stay at hotel

Posted Jul 19, 2014
Pros: Location location
Cons: Change the pool back
Location: Close to everything in Hoi An
We first stayed at the Hoi An hoel 3 years ago and enjoyed the experience especially the pool area. This time the pool has been renovated and changed from a light blue to a much darker colour. Not only does the pool not look as good the water temperature was a lot hotter and not refreshing

Centre of town

Posted Jul 2, 2014
Pros: The food, the staff, the pool and the fact that it was like a resort but in the middle of Hoi An.
Cons: Sound proofing rooms near the road.
Location: This was an ideal location within 500 metres of all shops , restaurants , markets and the river. It is a short taxi ride to the beach or you can take
A great little resort hotel in the centre of town. However don't get a room close to the road. It is noisey.

Superb hotel

Value for money it would be hard to beat this four star hotel. Everything about it is top class. The staff are courteous, attentive and friendly always with a ready smile. Location-wise couldn't be better; on the edge of the old town. Set back in landscaped grounds keeps thing quite and peaceful. Always stay here when visiting Hoi An.

a nice place, convenient for the historic town

Posted Jun 8, 2014 on Hotels.com
arrived early around 11am, asked to wait a quarter of an hour after which I was allocated a room - wonderful as it was very very hot and I needed a shower before looking around town. reception friendly, went out of their way to explain the hotel etc and organised a taxi to da nang the next day. room large and very comfortable. a,/c efficient except bathroom (marble full size bath!) was part of the room so it got warm when shower or bath was used. public areas and reception open so very hot. nice pool, plenty of sunbeds and cover from sun. breakfast wonderful - even an omelette chef! with lots of western favourites like baked beans! wifi worked ok, fridge efficient. tea and coffee facility good. short walk to historic town.

Great location!

Posted May 30, 2014
Pros: Location within a short walk to town, and excellent staff & facilities.
Cons: The breakfast was a little disappointing. Also the pool was closed too early in the evening, 7 or 8 pm, given the sweltering heat during our stay.
Location: Only a short stroll to the beautiful centre with its incredible architecture, great restaurants & shopping. Has a beautiful beach nearby too!
The hotel was in a fantastic location within a short stroll of the town centre. The staff were very friendly & helpful, and the facilities great! A free shuttle bus was also offered to the spectacular beachfront.

Ideal location, comfortable bed, great service

Posted May 18, 2014 on Hotels.com
We stayed in a room overlooking the pool for 4 nights. It was very relaxing 10 days travelling vietnam from south to north. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was good quality with plenty of choice available, and the gardens are mature and very well cared for. The old town is a five minute walk away from the hotel with shopping, markets, bars and restaurants and a series of historic attractions. The hotel has a sister establishment on the ocean and a free minibus can take you to the beach there. All in all it was an attractive and comfortable hotel and well situated. Would definitely stay here again. Hoi An is a vibrant town with plenty to do.If you are there for more than 48 hours, get a clothes or shoes made or do a cooking class.

Attentive, kind-hearted service in lovely setting

I can't say enough about how perfect my stay was, including: a greeting with a cool cloth for my face and mango water on a hot day; yummy ,fruity breakfast by the pool; and a wonderful massage. When I had to catch a very early flight, they even sent me off with a sack of nourishment, since I'd be missing their morning meal! So thoughtful!
