Pros: Peaceful location
Location: Good location
Enjoyed our two night stay in Hoi An and this hotel is a good inexpensive option for westerners wanting some comfort and convenient location to town. Staff very friendly and helpful, it's a new business and they deserve support - oh and we recommended they invest in a proper coffee machine for breakfast!

We hired bikes from the hotel And rode to the beach which was only 6km awayl, such a great Way to spend our time in hoi an! A good restful stayPosted Jul 9, 2013
Pros: quietness of area, very good Wi-Fi over the whole hotel area
Cons: no seating on patio, poor quality picture on TV
Location: 4 minute walk to Mango Mango, 7-10 minute walk to centre of old town
We really enjoyed our stay here and have booked to go back in a few weeks time. The bed room is spacious, bed comfortable, there's a small but adequate lounge area, bathroom spacious also. Only problems we had were small, ie, shower water doesn't drain effectively so you can't spend long in there before it overflows, great pressure in shower though. A rubber mat in the shower would be helpful as gets very slippery underfoot from soaps etc. The only other negative about the room is our garden view had a lovely patio but no chairs, so rendered the patio useless. We did request if we could have one but was told no. The evenings are lovely with the breeze off the water so we would have used it every day. We had a few small issues with housekeeping but problems were dealt with quickly. The pool is adequate for the number of rooms (12) & most days we had it to ourselves till late arvo. Breakfast was always fresh & tasty, with choices changing daily so we didn't get bored with it. The staff are all lovely but to be honest are being pushed by management I think, to be too attentive to guests so if you wish to have a quiet drink you find the poor staff try & spend the whole time with you trying to make small talk, so you don't get to have a quiet talk with your partner. I'm sue the staff will learn quickly to have a small chat & then back away. We had no problems with language barrier. The Hotel is in a quiet area & we felt totally safe waking to and from the hotel to the old town.

Booked for three nights, stayed for sixPosted May 18, 2013
Pros: Helpful & friendly staff, clean rooms, great rooms.
Cons: Our double bed was two mattresses with a very definite ridge between them.
Location: A 5-7 minute walk away from the centre of town, quiet and relaxed location on banks of river.
As per the title, my wife and I are cautious but relaxed travellers. We often book a night or two with a particular hotel in case it doesn't deliver. However, our stay at the Marina Resort delighted us. Firstly, the resort is very new. In fact, some of the facilities are still under (very quiet) construction. The riverside room we stayed in had high ceilings, was spacious and roomy with excellent air conditioning (much needed), internet-equipped TVs (with keyboard / mouse!) and high speed internet. Perhaps because it's so new, the staff are trying VERY hard to please. For example, the staff would greet at us during the day with cold bottled water when we came back to the resort, and they would sometimes ask us about our plans so that they could give us advice. Never once did they give us any 'hard sell' or pressure us to book activities with them. In fact, the entire ethos of the resort is one of quiet relaxation. And that suited us just fine. Facilities-wise, it's certainly not a large 'resort'. There's a simple outside breakfast area (consistently delicious, by the way), a tiny outdoor 'gym' and a truly excellent pool with loungers and an endless supply of fresh towels - all set amongst exceptionally neat and well-maintained gardens. A real 'haven' after the hot, crowded streets of Hoi An. And the bikes are free to rent too! Location-wise, the resort is situated on the riverbank - a 5-7 minute walk from the centre of town: which means it's quiet and peaceful. Perfect!

Great place for couples, families and everyonePosted Apr 3, 2013
Pros: Easy - the staff, really helpful, accomodating and friendly
Cons: Hard to pick a least favourite. If forced, at gun-point, I'd say that ordering food at times other than breakfast.
Location: Simply superb! Peaceful, idyllic rivserside location yet less than 10 minutes slow stroll to the old quarter,
Everything about this hotel was great: location, facilities, amenities, quality of the room and above all else the staff. The folks on the reception, the secuirty guard through to the gardening staff couldn't have been more pleasant or friendly. It was really a pleasure to stay there and to be welcomed by the staff and I would recommend this hotel with a second's hesitation - a truly lovely, relaxing wonderful place.

Lovely Hoi AnPosted Mar 19, 2013
Pros: Spacious, modern, comfortable rooms and peaceful location
Cons: They didn't have any outdoor furniture on our patio. An outdoor lounge would have been great.
Location: A little out of town, but still walking distance (10-15 minutes). On the river and not a busy road, so quiet and peaceful.
We really enjoyed our stay at this resort. The staff and management were very friendly and couldn't do enough for us. Our room was big, and it looked over the pool and the river. A great place to relax away from the noise of the busy roads while still being close enough to walk to town. It was great walking into town at night with the bridges, restaurants and markets along the way lit up with chinese lanterns - very colorful. Massages and facials at the resort were cheap and wonderful. We hired a motor bike for the day and rode to the beachs and through the countryside. Whilst not for the feint hearted, it was a lot of fun and a great way to get around outside of the town. As most people do, we had clothes made at one of the many tailors in town and are very happy with them. They fit perfectly and look great. Some items were a little expensive, but overall I think we did well. Bargain a little but not too much if you want quality. All in all we loved our stay at the Hoi An Marina Resort.
