Quaint hotel in a small townPosted Jul 23, 2013
Cons: Cleaner bathrooms please.
Location: The petrified forest is a must see for those who love nature and the earth's history.
The room was small but quaint. We had two double beds which were perfectly comfortable. I was a bit unpleased by the cleanliness of the bathroom, the bathtub appeared grimy with dirt stains. It was not covered in dirt, however, I prefer a tub that looks like a tub from a cleaning commercial. Management was very polite and helpful. We asked for a few extra towels and a couple extra pillows and they went above and beyond to fulfill our requests. What the hotel lacks in appearance it makes up for in customer service.

Great location for Wild West Days!Posted Jul 18, 2013 on Hotels.com
This hotel is right in the heart of town which was great for me because I was able to walk to the starting line of my half marathon race. The hotel is older and shows the wear and tear of many years. However, the manager (Sunny) was EXTREMELY helpful and went out of his way to be sure that I was satisfied with the accommodations. The room was clean and I was able to get a good night's rest. Being so close to all the Wild West Days festivities was also a huge perk. I walked to and from the race...and felt very comfortable and safe.

Oh The Smell!Posted Jul 18, 2013
Pros: Location to the historic district. Attached restaurant.
Cons: Room smell, electrical and towels were our biggest issue. Fix the cracked windows.
Location: Navajo County Courthouse, National Register of Historic Locations. All the historical buildings of Holbrook are within walking distance of this hotel.
Let me first say this is the first terrible review I have written for a hotel. I've traveled all over the country showing horses and I have stayed in some serious dives because that is all that was available. The staff that was at the hotel was very friendly, the lobby was clean and inviting, total mislead to the horror I would open the door too. The first thing that hit us when I opened the door was the stench! It hit you full force in the face. I assume it is from the old carpet and ceiling tiles of the roof. My husband soon came up and asked me what the smell was. I was going to go down to the lobby and ask for our money back but my husband was tired and didn't want to carry our luggage back down the stairs to the vehicle. I immediately went to a local store to buy febreeze to detox the room. The room was clean but showed it age. The walls were freshly painted mint green but the fresh paint did not hide the cracks and sad state of the walls. The electrical was terrifying in itself. The microwave and refrigerator were plugged into a light duty household extension cord. I was afraid to plug my blow dryer in because the socket pushed into the crumbling plaster around it. The towels provided were a joke so thin you couldn't get dry with them. They were however clean and smelled clean. The best thing about this hotel was its location to the historical area of Holbrook & the restaurant attached to the hotel. We chose to not use our voucher and ordered a regular breakfast

Wild West Days OvernightPosted Jul 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
My friends and I went to Holbrook for the Wild West Days event and decided to stay overnight the night before. The staff was very courteous and the room was a good value for the money. It was clean and right in the center of town. The breakfast at the restaurant next door was from 6-9 not a long window, but good food, 4 choices - something for everyone, and we were able to squeak it in after our cycling event at Wild West Days. It's definitely not an upscale hotel, but that isn't what we were looking for, we needed a clean place to sleep and shower and have something to eat in the morning. I would definitely stay there again.

ConvenientPosted Jul 16, 2013 on Hotels.com
.25 miles away from the old courthouse and half marathon but I would keep on your socks and the bathtub is missing the drain stopper not that you would want to sit in it

Serviceable but no morePosted Jun 28, 2013 on Hotels.com
All I needed was a place to sleep, that's what I got. Pros: a/c worked fine, bed was freshly made up and relatively comfy, adjacent diner gave a nice breakfast with included voucher. Cons: shower didn't work, windows didn't open, no sheers so had to use blackout curtains which I don't like, carpet was pretty scary, coffee both in room and in the diner was lousy, missed the discount because couldn't figure out where to enter the promo code.

Hard to get past the smell.Posted Apr 29, 2013
The room apeared clean but the stench was about to turn my stomach. The shower dripped continuesly. The dead bolt would not engage because the door was sagging to much. The best part of the stay was the free hot breakfast at the little diner next door.
