Terrible, wacky, crazy hotelPosted Nov 26, 2013
Pros: Location. Three blocks from the concert we were attending that night.
Cons: Make the rooms comfortable, convenient and pleasant to stay in. Include a reasonable breakfast buffet.
This hotel has a wacky, ultra modern decor which we thought would be fun and interesting to see. But like a work of modern art, the designers of these rooms valued modern and different over comfortable and convenient. If any of the designers had actually slept in one of these rooms, I'm sure they would have made many changes. For example, in order to turn off the bed side lamps, you actually had to get out of bed and walk over to the light switch on the wall! The bed had a soft, squishy mattress that felt like a hammock. Even with a better mattress, I wouldn't have slept well since every time the heat went on, it sounded like an 18 wheeler was driving thorugh the room. The goofy, artistic looking shower dribbled water down straight on your head, so if you didn't want to get your hair wet, you were out of luck since there were not shower caps. This was also the first hotel room I've been in years in the US or Europe which did not have a coffee maker in the room. You could go down to the bar/lobby and buy a cup of coffee for $3.00, which seemed less than convenient. The restaurant featured featured small portions of "trendy" but not especially tasty food served on tables covered with brown butcher paper! I ordered soup but couldn't eat it since they had only given me a fork and couldn't find any soup spoons! I could go on and on but I think you get the idea here!

Fantastic! You Must Stay Here!Posted Nov 21, 2013
Pros: Pretty Much - Everything
Cons: A heat fan in the open bathrooms with no shower door - while beautiful it was chilly
Location: Holland is just a great place to visit and wander about seeing the sights. The people are wonderful!!!
Room was just beautiful - actually took pics to bring home for our renovation! The dining was yummy and fun. Great atmosphere to this place. Front desk was helpful and nice to interact with. We will come visit again gladly~

Very nice, modern hotel in downtownPosted Sep 18, 2013
Pros: Location, service, and comfy bed.
Cons: Sorry but our stay did not require any improvements, all was superb.
Location: There is a great beach on lake Michigan, with many great eateries along the way. Windmill island is unique and close by, check it out.
Close to all shops and brewery's which was what we were looking to do to celebrate a birthday. We had a great appetizer and beverage on the 5th floor when we returned. The bed was the most comfortable bed in a motel that I have slept in for years. We had a very good complimentary continental breakfast in the morning. GREAT HOTEL AND STAY, THANK YOU.

TV broke, strange smell in 316Posted Sep 7, 2013 on Hotels.com
Overall hotel is very modern and staff was friendly enough. Turned in first night to find TV wasn't working. It was late and wanted to unwind a bit so called front desk. Woman who answered appeared to have a hard time remembering where she worked! Spoke with gentleman at front desk following morning and he was sorry for inconvenience and gave hotel credit (which was thoughtful) and we moved to a new room. THAT room had a very strange unsettling smell. Again to the front desk and they sent a maid with a fan and some air freshener. Returned that evening to find smell just as bad and after talking to some of the staff was informed SOME of the rooms just have a smell to them. What? Anyway the place would have been awesome if not for the issues we encountered. Would advise anyone to check their rooms before unpacking and steer clear of room 316.

Uncomfortable bedPosted Aug 27, 2013
Pros: Modern finishes in restroom were nice.
Cons: Firmer beds.
Location: The downtown location was convenient to shopping
The environmentally friendly hotel seemed nice and new on the outside, however the mattress was too soft. Overall, the few amenities and comfort was not on par with the room rate.

A nice place to stayPosted Aug 20, 2013
Pros: the size of the room and free internet service and walking distance to the downtown shopping
Cons: the showerhead
Everything was quite satisfactory. The only suggestions we would make would be to install a door in the toilet area of the bathroom and a showerhead with a stronger spray.
