“Charming yet Squeaky”

Everything about the B&B was great. But if you are squeamish about sloping floors, small rooms, and squeaks, this isn't for you. The breakfast was fabulous and the hosts were very nice. Second generation owners.

Enjoyed our stay at hotel. Room and breakfast were very good as was location just outside main downtown area, but still within walking distance. I would go back in heartbeat.

We loved the Inn inside and out. Ceilings need work, but it is very old. The period decor was lovely. The amenities were great. The back yard with pool and fire pit and pond were an unexpected pleasure. The bed was very comfortable. I can't say enough about the breakfast - delicious! Good location about 6 blocks from town. I have already recommended Twin Gables to friends and would definitely go back!

Cute old Inn, outside needs some maintenance, room selections is important especially the bathrooms, staff very friendly and helpful. Would go back again.

i was very happy with our room at the end of the hall with two windows and a view of mature pines and the pool. although the carpet was stained in spots, and the ceiling needed a little patching and painting, the bed was luxurious and comfortable, and the updated cottage style bathroom was extremely clean with the great water pressure!. there was no closet, but a coat rack on the wall with hangers and an antique dresser with drawers. it is a very old building, and quests may encounter slanting floors and walls that are not soundproof. it was, however, very quiet at night. the outdoor pool, patio and gardens were a lovely surprise. the indoor hot tub area looked less inviting, and could use some updating. it would have been nice if each room had its own mini fridge, as the small one in the common area could only accommodate a few boxes of dinner leftovers. for quests requiring ice, there is only a small tabletop ice maker in the common room, that makes a only a couple of glass fulls at a time. on the plus side, wine glasses, mugs and a coffee maker are always available, and the morning self serve coffee was fantastic! the breakfasts in the sun room overlooking the bay across the street were absolutely wonderful, and not to be missed. the young ladies on the staff were hard working and extremely polite. this is a lovely old property with great parking and nice views. i would recommend it. for the more mature traveler, but not for the party crowd.
