All around horrible.Posted Oct 6, 2014
Pros: The pool
I recently moved to Florida and have had relatives stay at this hotel numerous times because of the cheap price. This latest time however will be the last. The staff does not attend to the desk. Had to wait 30 minutes in order to get a new key to the room. The staff cares more about their bar customers than they do the actual hotel guests. The music plays very loudly all hours of the night. There is no staff to supervise the bar-goers. They were very disruptive and physically and verbally abusive. Hotels are supposed to at the very least be a safe place to rest your head for the night. It was not safe and it was nearly impossible to sleep.

convenient locationPosted Aug 28, 2014
Pros: location and rates.
Cons: larger dining area in the restaurant
Location: next door to the Homosassa State Park. There are many boating and fishing tours nearby, and there are several manatee excursions.
we were very pleased with our stay at Bella Oasis. The pool was large and very clean, the food in the Gator Cove Lounge was excellent, and the staff was extremely friendly.

We stayed while scalloping and only showered and slept in hotel so it worked fine for us. A bit worn down, nice pool area and breakfast with waffles. Would stay again when scalloping, otherwise not sure. Service at front counter was great very friendly and helpful.

Very convenient for scalloping, Homosassa State Park, and dinner at Neon Leons. Rooms were very large. Could use a little work on cleaning the windows in the rooms and adding a little variety to the continental breakfast. The Grill for dinner had delicious burgers and the karaoke was fun. I would stay there again due to the convenient location.

The staff was very courteous and quick to respond to any requests. Room amenities requested were granted, 1st floor with a couch instead of two beds but the refrigerator and microwave are very small and one small trashcan is not sufficient. My room was on the extreme end of the building away from the office and I assume the Internet because I could connect to it but beyond that was “limited or no connectivity” even with 5 bars. So, no Internet service for the duration of my stay. It is old and what little modernization or refurbishments that have been done was done inexpensively/low cost. Approaching the building from the back parking lot, there was an unpleasant smell that carried on into the breezeway. The motel is adjacent to the state wildlife park, which was convenient. However, it is basically the only motel in Homosassa, FL. The attached bar and grill could also be convenient but I did not utilize the facility. Adults and children enjoyed the pool and pool area. Overall, I got what I paid for and I have another trip Homosassa coming up and I am undecided about staying here again or going the extra few miles and staying in Crystal River which is more expensive and crowded this time of year for scallop season.

I have stayed here many times. Its relatively cheap and room is clean. Great place to stay if your going to spend your time on the gulf. Hasn't been remolded in years and on busy weekends like July 4th they could use additional help keeping the grounds clean.
