“I will go back. Price fit in my budget.”
This is not a five star hotel. Small room like all other hotels in this price range. Free internet. Convenient, public transport at door step, relatively clean and courteous service.
“Too far of walk to the subway, small room, and unclean.....”
What else do I need to say?
“October 01 2011”
I stayed for 3 days. I stay in hotels in Wan Chai, Causeway Bay, Kowloon, Central & Lan Kwai Fong on business 3 years now. I work in China and renew Visa in HK. Room had no wash cloths. No free bottled water. Internet not included or free. Breakfast not included. Power adapter not free, paid high price then power adapter did not work well or fit outlet. Meal prices well above average. Lobby guest lounge is at elevator entrance so there is little privacy. DO NOT USE the toothpaste, it is no-name brand that tastes like SOAP, DISGUSTING. TV is very old, from 1990, remote did not work well. HVAC system old, did not work well. Shower head sprays in all directions. This was considered a Superior Room, it was not! This experience truly sets this hotel apart from competitors in the area charging the same rate. Hotel management needs to make some major changes or lower rates for this poor hotel. I have never ever had to pay for a power adapter. Bottled water is free (2 bottles) in ALL hotels in China and HK. The TV quality and cable is worst of any hotel
“its fine but can fine better comfort close by”
hotel is ok ,small room but its hong kong, except if you can get business rooms on second floor.
“Great Location”
A long standing hotel in a great location offering great value. The hotel rooms are small but you won't be getting anything larger for the price and location. From this hotel, you can hop into a cab, walk to the wan chai ferry or take the metro option. The cab option makes a lot of sense because you are so centrally located to so many places in Hong Kong Island.
“Causeway Bay Hotel”
very good location and price but was charged for water at check-out which we weren't informed at check-in. We paid but not happy about it.
“Good but not great; Super for the price”
I stayed at Charterhouse 15 years ago for an extended stay and just recently went back to Hong Kong for a week's vacation with my family. I chose the Charterhouse because I got a very cheap online rate (included taxes) per night and I needed two rooms for 8 days. Very economical. I expected small rooms, good facilities, and adequate everything else. Rooms were small but adequate. Very dated and not upgraded. Bed was a bit sub-par, but OK. Food and beverage are very good - great breakfast and a good bar. Concierge was not too helpful. The Wan Chai location is close to a lot of the things we needed as well as transportation to the other side of the island. All in all, we had no significant complaints. If I were to go again, I might spend 10$ more per night to get better modern rooms.
“Kong size between Central and Wan Chai”
It was a tipically Hong Kong sized (KONG size :-) Hotel. I mean not too big. The price was normal, the room was kept truly clean. The business room includes free and stable internet access. The air condition temperature is - just like at other places in Hong Kong - runs in deep frost mode, can be set to none. The TV (if you can call a small sized laptop screen a TV) is not free, I couldn't wake up one single channel to watch. The staff is very helpful, speaks English, the location is really good, so generally I can recommend this Hotel.
“Great Location”
Great location, quiet comfortable basic rooms
“Tired but functional”
We were only here for one night, but the service was very good, concierge went out of his way to be helpful to us. The room was tired but functional - acceptable value for the price.
