Cheap Hong Kong experiencePosted Feb 23, 2014
Nicely located no frills hotel. Small but comfortable. Staff is very nice and helpful. Would recommend this place if you are going to get away without a need for a luxurious experience.

Decent, but lacking in servicesPosted Feb 18, 2014
Pros: Free coffee in the morning and fruit (bananas)
Cons: Temperature setting was too low and i had not slept well. On the third night, i asked for a portable heater which was delivered promptly.
Location: I walked everywhere, but I would not necessarily recommend that. However, almost all major spots were within reach, maybe 30-50 min. walk.
The room was very small and too cold. Internet connection costs around $30 per day extra. Fairly close to bars/clubs (about 20 min walking distance) and an outdoor market.

Dear K, Thank you for your review. It’s nice to know that you appreciate the complimentary refreshments and the convenient hotel location. We regret to know that the customer service provided did not meet your expectation this time. Guest satisfaction is always one of our top priorities, please rest assured that your message has been brought to the attention of the management and training will be reinforced to all the front line staff to ensure friendly and welcoming service to be extended anytime. We are sorry to hear that the in-room temperature was too low which caused you discomfort during your stay, we hope you had the chance to relay your problem to our 24-hour Guest Services Manager for the arrangement of heater on the first day. We also noted your comment on the room size. Cosmo Hotel offers 7 room categories sizing up to 83 sq. m. to suit our guests’ different preferences and budgets. I hope the next time you will have the chance to try our Suite or Studio for a more spacious stay. We hope to welcome you back again in the near future.

clean, good valuePosted Feb 9, 2014
Pros: good value in a good location. easy to access. The staff were all friendly and helpful (not just the front desk--the servers, and housekeeping too!)
The hotel is in a good location and provides comfortable, clean accommodation. Lots of variety at breakfast. The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The rooms are small with very little space for hanging clothes so we lived out of a suitcase for 5 days but we hadn't paid for luxury! If you are looking for clean, reasonably priced accommodation this hotel is it.

Unfriendly staff - insulation very poorPosted Feb 7, 2014
Pros: We don't like at all and will not recommend to our friends.
Cons: Improve the insulation between rooms. Staff should be friendly band knows how to speak English.
Location: Location is too far from the airport - too much traffic. Taking a taxi cab is too expensive. They pass on to passengers the toll fee.
Poor insulation between rooms. We were assigned at Room 807. Next door room were so very noisy even at the middle of the night. You can hear noises outside the hotel. Unfriendly staff especially at the concierge department. Cosmo hotel is behind the cemetery. Not a good site for hotel accommodation. Restaurant at Cosmo & Cosmopolitan Hotel charged too much. It is a rip off. Too far from the international airport. We were charged $360.00 Hong Kong Dollar.

close to the center of Hong KongPosted Feb 2, 2014
Pros: I couldnt connect to WiFi: 5 min after my call to reception I had a person in the room that fixed it within 5 Min.
Cons: Breakfast not recommended: allways the same served, juices all canned, quality of served products below standart - it was not a pleasure to eat breakf
very friendly and customer oriented personel. Could help me giving me best Thai Restaurant in Hong Kong, organized the taxi and stoped it in front of the hotel.

Experience the real Hong Kong.Posted Jan 26, 2014
Pros: Close to public transport - beds and pillows were amazing! we slept extremely comfortably and the free shuttle bus was used frequently at all hours.
Cons: Storage space for two suitcases.
Location: Michelin star Asian restaurants , Wan Chai market , Happy Valley racecourse, Times Square shopping, trams, Victoria Peak Bus, Wan Chai ferry terminal
Hotel Cosmo was perfect for our needs - situated in Wan Chai meant we experienced suburban Hong Kong (local markets, shopping areas that were not overpriced and not teeming with tourists and interesting Michelin star rated local restaurants.) Transport amazing - buses, trains and trams virtually at our doorstep and Happy Valley Racecourse across the road ( even if not into racing a must see experience!) Hong Kong loaded with things to do cheaply if you use the sensational local transport system.. ocean Park, Hong Kong Disney, Lantau, ferries, day trip to Macao, shopping outlets, Victoria Peak, busy Nathan Road, Avenue of Stars, Light show, watching the locals doing Tai Chi every morning or getting lost in the back alleys!

Doable and efficient, but definitely 3 Star.Posted Jan 16, 2014
Pros: Great hotel for the money. Like economy class flying which gets you where you want to go, this hotel provides a place for you to stay.
Cons: If you want an ATM don't bother asking at the concierge desk. Just turn left out the front door onto Queen's Road East and keep walking about 7 mins.
Location: The public transportation in HK is good once you know how it works. Get an Octopus public transportation card, study your maps and you're good to go.
Not much to complain about for the money. However, the first thing to note is that the check in time is 2pm and they really mean it. Make sure you're prepared to wait until 2pm to be able to get into your room. However, they will offer to hold your bags if you decide to go walking around while you wait. Also, be prepared to be asked for a deposit of about 1800 HKD. I had the standard room. Once in the room, it is much smaller than the picture indicates. You basically get a bed a desk and a bathroom. The room was clean. The window did not open and you could not see outside because the glass was frosted. If I had any problems with the room they were quick to respond but don't expect to get accurate information about where certain things are or the best ways to get to various places from the concierge desk. In other words, do your homework before going to HK for the first time or be willing to go exploring for yourself. This hotel is about a 10 to 15 minute walk from the major shopping streets and the Wan Chai MTR station. This hotel meets basic needs but that is about all it does.
