Traditional hotel in the thick of things.

Posted Aug 8, 2014
Pros: Location. Quick walk to Temple street, Jade market, 7-11, Nathan street, ATM, Jordan subway, McDonalds, Starbucks, Breadtalk, and Toast Box.
Cons: nada
Location: Everything is nearby. Also, it is nice staying here because as you are walking down the street, no one bothers you about buying a suit.
Spent 8 nights here. It is a small but very clean hotel right next to the Temple Street Market. Its location is why this hotel is great. The staff is excellent. They have a couple free computers to use on each floor. Each room has its own wifi! Minibar is priced well, although right next door is a 7-11 and you can get what you want there.

Nice hotel that's near everything

Posted Aug 6, 2014
It was close to Jordan station and Nathan road which was pretty convenient to go anywhere in Hong Kong, It wasn't the largest hotel room but if you just need a place to rest up and sleep, it'll work just fine.

Nice hotel close to the night market

Posted Jul 28, 2014
Pros: location and convenience of getting in and out
Location: Near street markets and many, many restaurants
If space is not hugely important, the rooms in this hotel are sufficient for a comfortable stay, complete with in-room wifi and mini-fridge. Just a 15 minute walk to Harbour City and only a block from the Temple market, this hotel is convenient, clean and easy to get in/out.

Accessible and no-frills

Posted Jul 3, 2014
Pros: Fuss-free, accessibility and clean.
Location: Eat at Mak's Noodles at Parkes Street opposite. Cost is $33, cheaper and tastier than that served at the Central / Wellington Road branch.
Location near Jordan MTR and within 2 min stroll to Airport bus. Clean and simple. Wifi in room. Reception staff speak English and are helpful.

Perfect for the price

What can I say that's not been said before? Kowloon is one of the most densely populated regions in the world, so space is always going to be lacking unless you are willing to pay. Having said that, the staff at the Evergreen Hotel heeded my request for a room with a window, and I actually ended up in a room that had three beds, along with ensuite bathroom. The location is great. You are right in the thick of it all, with too many food options to count - not only a myriad of Chinese restaurant and street food options, but also Turkish, Indian, Thai, etc. Two minutes' walk to Temple Street Night Market. Less than five minutes' walk to Jordan MTR station (remember to take Exit A when you return). The staff here are great; really helpful, and more than happy to assist with any queries and organising a shuttle bus back to the airport if you don't fancy hauling your luggage back to the MTR station. A personal note: as I mentioned, I requested a room with windows. I find windowless rooms just too claustrophobic. A set of earplugs might be recommended if you're the same as me. But you're on Kowloon - you were probably going to pack them anyway!
