Excellent hotel just away from the central areas

Posted Jul 16, 2014
Pros: Great views from our room. Very good buffet lunch. Sensational views from the rooftop bar/restaurant. Easy by tram or subway train to centre
Cons: We found the laundry prices high and no self service facilities. There is a lot of construction around the hotel but it didn't affect us.
Location: On harbour front outside the centre. Very little to do nearby as area is a bit downmarket but it is very easy to get to the key shopping/tourist areas
I stayed three nights with my wife and daughter in summer 2014. The hotel feels very new and facilities are excellent and to a high standard. Staff were all very helpful and attentive. Although out of the centre the transport links in were easy and inexpensive. The all-in buffet lunch was excellent value, and very popular with the locals. The swimming pool was very pleasant and cleverly screened from the nearby freeway. There is a lot of construction going on around the hotel, but the noise was not sufficient to trouble us. The surrounding area has little to offer tourists but Starbucks and MacDonalds if you are homesick! The rooftop bar/restaurant has truly sensational views, particularly at night.

Doesn't understand business travelers.

Posted Jul 15, 2014
I was initially excited about this hotel and booked the day before my arrival in Hong Kong. I had been in mainland China for the past week and I needed a day or two to decompress before my flight home to New York. I wanted a nice hotel with a pool on Hong Kong island. This hotel satisfied these requirements. I was able to get a flight home a day earlier and at 7am I notified the front desk that I would like to check out early at 8am. The front desk was unwilling to refund me the second night. I understand that I booked the hotel through expedia, and prepaid in advance, but I have never had a hotel not accommodate a request such as this, especially since I only booked the hotel the day prior. The hotel is under no obligation to refund me, but being a business traveller it's nice to know a hotel will help accommodate plans that sometimes fluctuate. If you are looking to relax and have set dates, then this is a hotel you should consider, but if you are a business traveler, there are many better options on the island.... options that will go above and beyond to make you feel at home while you are working.

Overall are excellent! Highly recommended!

Cons: Just one minor I personally in the view of the lobby hall and the corridor interior design a little bit old fashioned and doesn't really look like new
Location: It is very near to the MTR station. The Victoria Pack is also walking distance, and there is a jogging route perfectly link from there to the hotel.
The facilities are great! I have a relaxing and nice massage for my holiday! Nice and polite staffs. Overall are just great! It will definitely be my first choice for my next stay in Hong Kong.

We had a wonderful time

Posted Jun 26, 2014
Pros: The staff, the size of the suites and the views. The comfortable bed. The service was very efficient and friendly.
Location: MTR, locals markets, many cafes and diners.
From the moment of check in to check out the staff were courteous, friendly and on hand to help us with any queries. The location was close to the MTR which made getting around Hong Kong easy. We found many little dinners close by and a locals markets about 10 mins walk. Our suite was spacious, clean and very comfortable with amazing views of the harbour. The staff were helpful and knowledge of Hong Kong very good and when asked a question they were not sure they took the time to check for us. Overall this made our experience of Hong Kong memorable and we will return.

Pros: the staff was extremely helpful giving directions and recommendations for local points of interest to visit.
Cons: amenities included a refrigerator but no freezer. It would have helped a lot to have a freezer as we had prescription medications that require this.
Location: excellent location very close to the MTR station, however directions posted could be improved to make it easier to find once outside the MTR station.
the easiest (MTR) train system to follow from the airport. although we had a hicup locating the hotel after exiting the train station (directions could be improved in the website). the staff was very attentive and friendly. the room was nice and clean. However, our sheets were dirty. the services and facilities are world class and the view from the 41st floor lounge is great.

Pros: Friendly service and very comfortable room
Cons: Nothing
Location: Location was convenient with the MTR less that a brief walk away which gave access to anywhere in Hong Kong
The room was superb with a fantastic view of Victoria Harbour. I would definitely recommend the hotel to anyone.

Great hotel in Hong Kong

Posted May 16, 2014
Pros: It is elegant and the aroma at the lobby complements the excellent idea of the rooms. The bar on the roof gives great views of Hong Kong and Kowloon.
Cons: Unfortunately the placement in neighborhood is an issue. The hotel should perform acts to improve its surroundings. This avoids a complete excellence!
Location: The neighborhood placement is not appealing, but 2 blocks away from the fantastic metro that crosses the city and surroundings.
It was more than pleasing, with an amazing lobby and fantastic scent. The rooms were comfortable and with a touch of modern/deco. The staff was always available and were friendly. This hotel with the competitive price that offers is a true jewel in elegance and comfort in Hong Kong. Perhaps the only "but" will be surroundings as there is quite a difference after you leave the hotel and encounter a neighborhood that is not appealing and disrupts the primary image that the hotel gives. It was also very easy to travel around Hong Kong as the metro station is 2 blocks away.

The only bad thong is that the restaurant on the last floor doesn't serve food after 3pm
