“Expensive but great.”

One guidebook had stated that the location of this hotel was not great. In fact this is not a problem. There is a ferry service to Central, Hong Kong Island two mintes walk (Star Ferry line)from the hotel and a courtesy bus service to beside the Peninsula Hotel/ Nathan Road. There is also a free bus service to Kowloon station for the airport express train. The staff were very friendly and the roof top pool is fab.

“Home from Home”

This hotel was always a welcome quiet haven after a day out in the hustle and busy of Hong Kong. The little coffee shop in the foyer is a splendid place to pick up a takeaway breakfast if you dont want the full works or a cup of hot chocolate at the end of the day. The waterside restaurant with an outdoor patio area is good place to eat if you dont want a huge meal and has a very cosy atmosphere. Dont miss Happy Hour! The staff were all very helpful and you are given a bus and Star Ferry timetable on your arrival. They will also book sightseeing tours for you. The rooms of a very good size and well equipped book a harbour view if possible as its well worth the extra. The rooftop pool is not to be missed even for a quick drink if not a swim. The hotel bus service to the station or the centre of Karloon is very useful but it is only a few minutes walk along the harbour front to the Star Ferry Pier if you want to go to the Island.

“Delighted with this hotel”

Situated beautifully on the water side, this hotel gives a little bit of peace style and class to the rush and hubub of Hong Kong, but is only minutes away from everything with the excellent hotel bus service and the Star Ferry just a minute's walk away. Rooms and service were superb, with plenty of eating places both within the hotel and nearby. I will go back!

“Higher quality than was expecting!”

View from the room was great and service was top quality. We were surprised with the pleasent reception.

“Fantastic hotel with first class service and facilities”

Best holiday and hotel ever stayed in. Staff were extremely attentive and helpful while the hotel facilities and food were first class. What a swimming pool and view from the roof top. Food in all the restaurants was first class. Would go back in a minute. Courtesay bus to downtown Kowloon every 30 minutes to shops, ferry e.t.c.. Hong Kong is a fantastic place to visit and experience. Better get saving for next trip!!!

“Highly Recommended”

We stayed at the Harbour Plaza Hotel in June 2008. The hotel is absolutely fantastic. The views are to die for, and the friendliness and professionalism of the staff is unsurpassed. We ate in four of the hotel restaurants, and were mostly impressed. For hotel restaurants they were actually a good deal better than normal standards, and again the staff really made the difference. Hong Kong is a fantastic city with so much to see and so much variety. Staying at this hotel really added enormously to a tremendous experience. The Whampoa Gardens region is a treat in itself, the hotel also runs a coach service half-hourly to and from the Tsim Tsa Tsui region of Kowloon right beside the Golden Mile, and the wonderful harbour-side features and facilities, and bars and restaurants. The ferry to Hong Kong island is a one minute walk away and its a real pleasure to spend a few minutes crossing the harbour. Its remarkably easy to get around Hong Kong and the surrounding islands, between buses, coaches, ferries, and the MTR. I was there to attend a conference in the HKCEC and it was about 10 minutes door-to-door using the ferry. We can't recommend this hotel highly enough. If you're considering it, don't give it another moment's thought - you won't regret it.

“Great hotel but you'd expect that for the price”

Great views and pretty convenient for uk standards however if you ask the locals it's a little out of the way despit being 15 mins to central. The hotel provides free shuttle buses to Tsim Sha Tsui. We stayed in the harbour club room and got some extras like free breakfast, evening snacks and drinks. Very nice but what you'd expect at the price. I have heard of better deals from locals.

“Lovely hotel with excellent service”

We couldn't fault the hotel. For some reason we were upgraded to a suite which gave us extra space and comfort which was a bonus, particularly when we were stuck in by wet weather. We were also pleased to be able to stay in our room until mid-afternoon so we were not hanging around waiting for our evening flight. The view from our suite was lovely though the hotel's actual position was probably not perfect as it is in an area which is still being developed, though it was so handy for the ferry to the Island that we didn't worry at all about this.

“They don't get much better than this!”

This is one of the best hotels i've ever stayed in. i don't believe the staff could have been any more attentive if they tried - nothing was too much trouble. The gym and pool over looked the harbour so exercise was quite enjoyable with that view! The shuttle bus was always on time - in fact so was every thing else. We upgraded to the harbour club and would do so again. Would i use that hotel again - in a heart beat.

“Great views”

Good size room with great views of the Harbour. Great view from roof top pool, but not enough sunbeds to cater for everyone. Close to star ferry stop so convenient to visit the Island. 10 min taxi drive from main shopping area. Good gym. Helpful staff.
