Great place, but a bit farPosted Apr 23, 2014
It is everything you come to expect from a Hyatt hotel, great room, comfy bed, clean toilet and it is near the MTR which is the main transportation in HK. However, when you're tired after walking miles for the day, you might feel that it is a tad too far and might consider hotels in Tsim Tsa Shui or nearby which is more central. Besides that, it is excellent.

Great StayPosted Apr 17, 2014
Stayed for 2 Nights and it was great, got to the Hotel really early and could not get my key until 2:00 pm, so they got me a Locker and I showered and changed at their great fitness center!! Great breakfast but felt it Expensive at $40 with my soda. Rented a Bike and ran close to the hotel, amazing place to start fit while traveling. The only thing I did not like was the distance from TST and all other major landmarks, easy to get a Taxi or Metro but too far.

Great hotel for visiting CUHKPosted Apr 8, 2014
Pros: Clean. Everywhere. Professional staff who actually mean it when they ask if they can help.
Cons: Bar/Lounge staff could benefit from a night in Wen Chai. They still don't quite get the idea of service in a bar.
Location: Chinese University of Hong Kong (CUHK) is the only thing within walking distance. Two stops by MTR to the Sha Tin mall. This is a suburban location.
Stayed at the Hyatt Sha Tin while visiting my daughter, a student at CUHK. The location is great for the university -- your only choice in reality. Next door (300M) is the MTR, and campus begins on the other side of the MTR. Although Sha Tin is a bit out of the city (two MTR connections to the island, about 25 minutes), Places like TST remain convenient. Staff is cordial and professional - they coordinated delivery of some shirts I had ordered in TST, even after I had checked out. Rooms are comfortable by HK standards and everything was exceptionally clean. Pool area is particularly nice. Food was fine, not exceptional but predictable and consistent with Hyatt standards. Fitness center is typical of US hotels - lots of cardio, not too much else. This place is "as-advertised" in all respects I could see.

Nice hotel to stay in, fresh air and not congestedPosted Mar 24, 2014
Pros: New, modern and efficient. It is comfortable and has everything one needs. The view is excellent from our room. It makes the stay a very relaxing one
Cons: Cleanliness of shower.
Location: It is close to the train station (only 2 minutes to walk) and the train is linked to MTR. The Chinese University shares the same station.
The hotel is very close to the train station and so it is very convenient. The walk to the station is pleasant with people selling fruits and roasted chestnuts and sweet potatoes. We were upgraded to a harbour view room which had a great view and outlook. Our room was very nice but the shower and sink were not as clean as it should be - that needs improvement. Overall, I would rate it as 4.5.

Excellent hotel far away from crowdsPosted Mar 17, 2014
HK can be a little overwhelming. This hotel in New Territories give you comfort and good locations. Located 100 mts. away from the "University Station" you can get anywhere, even "Lo Wu", frontier to Shenzhen ... in less than 30 minutes.

UpgradedPosted Mar 9, 2014
Was upgraded to a suite and the stay was wonderful. If you are considering about using their shuttle buses, do check the timetable. For me, the time was not suitable and could not use them. Close to the station nearby, but it takes time to get to the central part of Hong Kong.
