“Novotel Citygate Hong Kong”

Great hotel with coach service to and from the Airport with just a 10 minute ride. Attached to a great mall and the MTS train service.

“Convenient for flying in and out of Hong Kong”

Pleasant hotel and convenient for flying in and out of Hong Kong. They offer a free shuttle to the airport every 15 minutes. My room was small but clean, service is efficient and friendly but what you would expect at this price. If you have time between flights the hotel is connected to a large mall with lots of high end stores and even some outlet stores. Just about every store you can think of is in the mall so at least you will have something to do. Lots of places to eat. Internet access is expensive which is always a pet peeve. Never could get the lobby internet to work though other people seemed fine with it. Breakfast was good and not too expensive. Do not think this is the place to stay if you want to tour Hong Kong but works well if you have an early morning flight.

“Incredible Stay”

I highly recommend this hotel to anyone needing to stay near the HK airport. The airport offers a free shuttle to this hotel which is only a 10 minute drive from the airport. The hotel seems very new and modern. The rooms amenties are extremely comfortable (especially the bed) along with a great view of Citygate and the ocean. It is also connected to the Citygate mall which has all levels of shopping. Great experience overall.

Area recommendations

If you have time to visit Hong Kong, I would recommend staying further downtown in Tsim Shai Tsi (TST, Kowloon) or Central. Both areas are right on Victoria Harbor and are very conveniet to mid to high end shopping, excellent restaurants, the MTR (Subway) and ferries to cross the harbor.

“Great Stay - off the beaten path”

We booked a Superior Room/ Queen Bed for one night and wish we had booked it longer.The facility and room were beautiful. The room was very quite and private. The concierge and front desk staff were very helpful. The shuttle took about 20 minutes in traffic to get to the airport. There is an entire mall attached to the hotel which was great since it was raining the entire day. The MTR (subway) station is within the mall, too. That is very convenient because the hotel is out on it's own. There isn't really any "local" style shops, bakeries or eateries other than what is in the mall. We took the MTR for a reasonable price to the inner city and enjoyed local foods and shops.

“I will return”

hotel is perfect for one night layover. I arrived late because of weather delays. Five minute shuttle to hotel. Easy checkin. Had a late departure time so i spent alot of time in the mall which is connected to the hotel. Breakfast buffet was also good. Had a good selection of food. Not many channels on tv. That was the only downside. But all in all it was a pleasant stay and would recommend the hotel for short stays.

“Will stay there next time”

The hotel is about ten minutes ride from HK airport. The hotel runs the shuttle bus every fifteen minutes. This convenience, together with the clean room and tidy small gym, made our stay very nice. We had to add a third bed. (There's a reasonable charge.) The hotel employee set it up promptly.

“great for HK-disney”

if HK disney is your main reason for going to HK then you can't go wrong with this hotel's location, comfort of stay, and staff services: a. free shuttle bus to and from airport b. 1 stop away from disneyland rail c. adjacent to outlet shopping mall without the need to go out d. great service from the front desk and concierge could be better: a. food in hotel very expensive better go to the hotel to get your caffeine / breakfast fix b. wi-fi is extremely/unbelievably expensive (please provide more computers for guests similar to the novotel nathan road in kowloon) other suggestions: a. hotel located in a relatively unpopulated area with lots of paved roads sidewalks so it could be a good idea to create a 2 to 3 mile running/walking map around/outside the hotel with signs/arrows etc. while running on the treadmill is ok for some running outdoors in beautiful weather is way better

Area recommendations

to see a lot of HK and save a lot of time commuting; nothing beats staying around HK Station or Central

“Location, location”

Great location for HKG airport, a little pricey at times but overall fairly satisfied. Upgrade to Executive Suite a no-brainer considering complimentary internet and breakfast included.
