This is a really great property in a wonderful location. The hotel is really close to central but also a stroll from Wan Chai. Great for a tourist to get out and explore the city of Hong Kong and easy to the MTR/Bus or Tram. A short walk to the harbour for walks and runs. There are lots of restaurants (European/North American/Asian) near and plenty of local shops as well. So I’m burying this further down, as it’s not really a reflection of the hotel, just on my trip to Hong Kong. I came for 6 days from UK just to Hong Kong. I suffered quite bad jet lag as a result. Why do I mention this? Well if I was to book a hotel again I would maybe look to get a hotel with more public space (this one has none) as somewhere to chill in the quieter hours. I would also maybe look into a hotel with a gym, as somewhere to pass the time in the middle of the night. These are not a reflection on this hotel, as it is great value for money, but might be something you want to consider when looking at hotels. You might also just be happy to sit in bed and read!

Disappointing. Not as great as the pictures.
My first impressions of the hotel were really poor. Decor of the room was not as shown in images of the hotel on Hotels.com. The floor I was in had a wood laminate floor, red decorated highlights, and oldfashioned 80s but new stule red lightshade and a garish cartoon mural on the wall. Not the elegant images shown. In my room, one of the bedside lamps revealed a large hole in the wall behind it. And the light switches worked strangely. From my room I could hear the man snoring next door and it was outside the cleaners room who were talking at the tops of their voices. Not peaceful at all. At 4am after complaining once before at 11pm, the staff allowed me to change room. The second room on a higher floor was decorated in the same way as the website. Although I could not work out for the life of me what could be the actual view in the pictures from any direction. I was happier here. Except the bathroom was cramped, shower leaking, no sink space. Also there were watermarks along the corridor carpets and a lot of scuff marks. AND you could hear the noise in other rooms across the hall and further down. The hotel was really noisy and the entry was a mess of luggage not locked away, just held behind the circular desk. Nothing appeared as slick as the images for the hotel. The positives were the hotel is in a great location for being immediately on Hong Kong Island. But I would not stay here again based on the price vs quality of hotel.

Nice place and the service desk was very helpful. But, when I ask that we have more water to make coffee I was told I could only have 2 waters a day by the room service. this happened 2 times. I would think you would have not limits on water. Also he insisted on cleaning the room the next morning, even after I told him I did not want it to be. I hung the sign so the room would not be cleaned and they came in anyway. Also we went out one day and came back to find 2 service men in or room claiming to be fixing a light. I would think they should have to ask and not enter the room without us there. a bit rude.

Overall a good and reasonable hotel, let down a little by the fact that it's not (as described) a new hotel, but an old one that is in the middle of a re-brand and renovation. The room I received did not have a safe in it as advertised, and in spite of the hotel's own advice to "use the safe provided". However the staff were lovely and very helpful, the hotel is clean and the bed lovely, and the area is incredibly convenient for transport, shops and dining. Overall highly recommended, but let down slightly by lack of advertised features and overall state of the building/decor.

Good value for money. This was our second time checking into this hotel in a month. Overall, it was clean & modern even though it’s still under renovation. Staff are very helpful & courtesy. Room was small but understandable as we were talking about Hong Kong property. We had issue with water temperature adjustment in the shower room in our first stay. However, this wasn’t an issue this time. The only drawback for people didn’t want to walk a lot was this property was in between of two different MTR station. It was a bit of walking to either one (about 10 mins walk on either direction). That said, trams & buses were readily available just outside the hotel. The hotel didn’t have Chinese name. So you might have problem telling taxi driver about the location. Overall, we were happy with the hotel and would consider to stay again due to its good CP value.

If you like modern Scandinavian design with everything there but no clutter then this is for you. Considering it’s downtown HK the room was larger than expected and everything just right. Not many facilities in the hotel but that’s fine as there are dozens of dining choices on the doorstep. I enjoyed the stay

Good value for the money. Clean. Smack dab between two stations — five minute walk to either Wan Chai or Admiralty. Lots of dining options around it, and even a couple of dessert places. Near Pan Pacific shopping mall. Could be confusing for a first timer to leave the Admiralty MTR and find the hotel unless you pay attention. Lobby under renovation.

Room is a bit tiny. Long black hair on my bed next to pillow when I first checked in, very disappointed. No hand towel for the sink, even though there was a holder for hand towels.

This hotel had nothing to offer. The rooms were very small. No coffee in room? No sugar? No room service. AC won’t stop running even if you grin it off. Price was too high for what this sad Hotel had to offer. Never again!

The room was very clean. The staff very nice. The only odd thing is the entrance hallway to the elevators. It seems that they are doing some remodeling. Just slightly inconvenient as the small hallway is small.

A Great Stay!
An excellent stay and very polite staff. We loved our week here as did my father. They upgraded us to a double bed for free which was great since collectively we had booked 17 nights between us. Staff were lovely, check in was ultra quick and the only point I'd mention is that despite being told repeatedly not to, people in this part of the world continue to smoke indoors so the hall smelled like smoke. Luckily the room did not and it was clean and fresh. Would recommend.
