Great family apartment

Posted Jan 12, 2015
Pros: friendly staff, comfortable beds and free Wi-Fi and mini bar of course
Location: MTR,
We stayed here on our way back from London for 4 nights. we are family of 4 including 2 teenagers we got the family room with 3 rooms and lounge with self contained kitchen. Beds are absolutely comfortable. Great to have the free breakfast, free minibar, happy hour and free wi-fi. We did see some massive shopping malls, other than that we enjoyed local and international foods.

Very Satisfied

Posted Dec 23, 2014
Pros: Tripadvisor
Location: MTR and local amenities
The 1st impression when I arrived to this hotel was 'HELPFUL'. I was greeted by Ying Xiu and assisted by the Manager, Ricky on my checking in and how to go about in HK. They made it easy for us. The room was clean and good for 2 adult and 2 childrens. Everything was workable and we had a happy holiday staying here. Thanks to Alice, the reception for helping us to book our boat tour with Aqua Luna. It was a great tour. Upon checking out, again Alice was there to assist us. In conclusion, all I can say it was a splendid stay and worth every penny we spend. Thanks to Ovolo West Kowloon Team

Comfortable, value for money but needs maintenance

Posted Dec 16, 2014
Everything about the hotel was great, from its location, to the breakfast/happy hour, to the service provided, to the comfort and value of the family room. However, the rooms aren't properly maintained. Our first room's toilet, telephone and the hair-dryer weren't working. We were then changed into the second room, which had spoilt toilet door handle, spoilt soap dispenser, blinds in one room and the air-con in the living room weren't working. We left a note at the front desk in the morning. When we returned in the evening, every thing that was spoilt was fixed. Overall, we are satisfied and would recommend this hotel to others. We would also stay in Ovolo hotels again.

Pros: Room layout, fitness centre, happy hour(s)
Cons: Breakfast
Location: Location not great as next to a wet market, but convenient for transport links. Lots of good restaurants nearby, and cheap shopping
I was happy about everything with this hotel except the breakfast, which was unchanging from day to day and limited in the range of available items (our stay was quite long) The staff were helpful and friendly. Hotel price ok for Hong Kong.

Nice & affordable boutique hotel

Posted Nov 22, 2014
We stayed for 3 nights at Ovolo West Kowloon from 13-16 Nov'2014 and it was a very pleasant and wonderful experience. Firstly, the hotel reception was very helpful and polite. We would like to thank the front desk supervisor : Mr Jackie who was very efficient and attentive. We also enjoyed the facilities of this hotel very much especially the FOC all day drinks ( including bottled water , juices, coffee @ tea ) and snacks during happy hour daily from 6-8pm. The nearest MTR station ie. Nam Cheong & Sham Sui Po were within walking distance about 10 mins' walk. Furthermore, there were many good local restaurants and cafe near the hotel. The wet market was located just round the corner. In short, everything was just perfect.

My Family Enjoyed The Stay

Posted Nov 18, 2014
Pros: Friendly and helful service, room amenities, evening cocktail and complimentary internet.
Cons: Appreciate to have sufficient toiletries and bath towel for a room with 5 people instead of the normal setup for 2 persons.
The hotel is located at the neighborhood area, lovely to experience the local culture and just about 10 minutes walking distance to Sham Shui Po MRT station. While walking to the MRT station, it’s a good experience to pass by the day and night market. The Family Suite features with 2 bedrooms with Queen size beds and 3rd bedroom with a single bed, the bedrooms area connected with living room, pantry and sharing a bathroom. It’s ideal for family and comfortable although the room is just 68sqm/700sqft. My family enjoy the most is the pleasant surprise of complimentary mini bar and welcome goodie bag with snacks. In addition, there is also simple evening cocktail reception with alcoholic drinks from 6pm to 8pm daily and it’s a great place to rest and relax after a long day out. A great place to stay.

clean, comfortable hotel in yuckiest neighborhood

Posted Nov 3, 2014
Pros: cleaniness, decent size, laundry facility, goodies
Cons: friendlier staff, please
Location: watch people cut fish and yell at each other. chinese people love to yell at each other (with love)
The staff are somewhat incompentent, they will not tell you anything unless you ask them. they are not that polite, but this is china, what do you expect? the rooms are really clean, and somewhat decent sized (for hong kong) they give you lots of goodies and drinks (drinks are refilled everyday) and that is quite nice. the drinks include 4 water (the other hotel charged $20/ bottle) a bottle of coke, a bottle of diet coke, 2 beer, 1 soda water, and 2 juice packs. the lobby always have cookies and sodas you can take. which is also really nice. Their breakfast is quite decent, happy hour is also decent. Not too many food items but really clean. probably the cleanest food you can get in 1 mi radius. oh and you can also wash clothes. there are 3 small washers and 3 small driers right next to lobby. they even provide soap. The neighborhood is stinky, because it is next to some market that sells crap. They also sell fish and meat, which they put them out in a tub with water. The houses are scary looking, and people are rude. they push you in every direction. if you walk past the sham shui po station, there are a bit more cleaner decent restaurants. but from hotel to the station, whew. good luck!
